lol he said "Hasekian" cause of the way thomas made that save

i am sick of seeing this kind of garbage. a nice clean hit results in a big scrum. why? why can't people get hit anymore? the instigator rule needs to be enforced more stringently by the refs if this is to stop.

he's a UFA after this season, and has won a cup. if he's willing to sign for little money, i'd take him over the current dynamic duo, and keep ozzie as a back-up. problem is he's making 6.75 currently so he'll probably want at least 3 next year, which the wings can't afford. any thoughts?
-
i think the management's focus might shift from franzen+hossa to franzen+goalie if playoff failure this spring is largely a result of unreliable goaltending. the way i see it is the wings without hossa last season won the cup with reliable goaltending from ozzie. if we don't get reliable goaltending this playoff from ozzie/conklin then bringing hossa back for another season at the expense of goaltending seems like a setup for another playoff failure.

well, according to yahoo sports he is a Pen. marian hossa player profile

ok, i can see someone isn't familiar with the concept of overexaggerating. and like i said before, i don't think you are even reading my posts. i originally said that he is overrated because some experts on tv think he's the best player in the world. but whatever, we can at least agree that datsyuk is better and that dats is underrated, no?
-
so basically you are agreeing with everything i said because it doesn't seem to me like you are reading my posts, just glancing over them. i said he is not THE BEST, i clearly said he is one of the best but NOT THE BEST
-
look, all i am trying to say is that he is overrated because many consider him to be in the top 5 players in the nhl, and every time he goes on a scoring streak and gets something like 15 goals in 12 games or whatever, all of a sudden so called 'experts' are billing him as the best player in the league. that's all. i'm not saying he isn't a great player, i'm just saying he isn't the best or even in the top 5. and btw, what does it matter who he fought? have you all forgotten two years ago in the playoffs when he butt-ended hank in the back towards the end of game 5?
-
i didn't say his stats are overrated. i said he as a player is overrated because his skills are hardly those of the best player in the world. btw, i watch him play plenty and i know what i'm talking about. when he has the puck on the rush, more often than not he will dump it in because he doesn't have the skills to go around a good defenseman. this makes iginla a smart player and as i've already said a good or even great player (due to his excellent shot) but not the best in the world. i mean c'mon, datsyuk could play the way iginla plays if he used a right handed stick (except shoot as good).

OVERRATED: IGINLA!!! when being talked about on hockey shows here in canada, the above is mentioned as one of the best, if not THE best player in the league. all i can do when i hear such lies is laugh and turn the channel. what a load of bull. talented? yes. great player? yes. skills in the same league as hmmmm i don't know, let me see.... DATSYUK? HELL NO!!!! not even close! in fact i am ashamed to have even put datsyuk's name in the same discussion as iginla. and i guess for the same reasons you can say that crosby is overrated as well. UNDERRATED: DATSYUK in my opinion, based on skills alone (not talking about career stats), pavel datsyuk is the greatest player that has ever played the game of hockey! ever!
-
he better fit in half that!
-
fils shouldn't make more than $1.5mil per year. his skills need to translate to more production on the ice before he makes the big bucks. approximately 200 gms played (including playoffs) and he only has 70 pts. i'm not saying he stinks, i'm just saying he needs to have a breakout season just like everyone else before making big money. you shouldn't get paid for what you could potentially do in the next five years. edit: btw, filppula was +16 last season not +28

good, i hope this song wins. they (the CBC) get what they deserve!

here's a better one:

you are correct!

the order of player jerseys to get for me would be: datsyuk, lidstrom, zetterberg, kronwall, holmstrom, franzen, osgood and then hossa. so there's no way i'm buying #81 any time soon. for now i'll just stick with my #91.

how on earth are we gonna get tavares?

Behind the Scenes look of Wings Championship DVD

anyone heard if they will have a blu-ray edition coming out? -
are you guys sure they will be on tonight? because the guide says: justin timberlake, karen allen and musical guest sheryl crow. i think they've always had two guests and music at the end so where do lids and ozzie fit in? edit: maybe they bumped this "karen allen" person, no offense to her

what sticks out to me when watching pre-lockout games is just how much hooking/holding/roughing players got away with. unbelieavable how much the game changed over the last few years.
-
oh i agree that howard deserves a chance (finally) and actually i thought he was great in the couple of games he played in this year. so i don't think we should be worried about him being ozzie's back up. what i'm saying is, if dom decided to stay and him and ozzie each played 40 gms and this time ozzie gets to start the playoffs that would be better (IMO) than having ozzie play 50-60 gms. btw, you asked when did osgood struggle? he did have that small stretch of rough games early feb. and quite frankly didn't play as good in the second half of the season. i'm not trying to bash ozzie, he stepped in and was great in the playoffs, but i just really enjoyed seeing the two of them on the team sharing ice time and feeling comfortable that we have 2 great goalies.

I don't get all the people who are glad hasek is retiring. He was 4th last season in GAA and i'm sure if babcock let him finish the nashville series we would've won it in the end. It seemed to me him and ozzie were pushing each other to be better. Now that hasek is gone ozzie is the number 1 guy no matter what. I'd rather have a repeat of this year's situation than having howard back up ozzie. If ozzie struggles, who's gonna step in to save us?
