datysuk and zetterberg have looked a little off. at times they both showed flashes of their usual brilliance but I think part of the problem is the lack of chemisty with some of their linemates. They'll get it togeter in the next few games I believe It looks like Bertuzzi is gonna take a little while to learn the Red Wings system. I'm not writing him off by any means but he is the most ineffective player on our top 3 lines at the moment. I think May is a great fit for the Wings, in his first game he showed more than Downey did in his 2(?) seasons with the team.

Haha, what a dummy. I think it's obvious that he's a bit sour about the wings not trying to resign him. I can't really blame him, wings management has actually been quoted in saying "he's replaceable". I'm gonna be at the game and I'm gonna help make sure Patrick Kane knows how big of a tool we (I) think he is.

I hear that. I have really high hopes for Fil and Franzen this season. Fil was one of our most consistent players in the playoffs last year behind Z and Mule. I hope him and Leino can get some major chemistry going and become a dynamic duo similar to Dats & Z in recent years. I'm really excited about all our new guys to be honest. It's gonna be really fun to see full seasons from Helm, Ericsson & Leino. I'm even excited about Bert and Williams, I think Willams has come a long way since he was last a Wing and I think Bert can be an excellent role player in our system.

to be honest, I just want the wings games. the center ice package would be a nice little perk but I'd rather they just get their s*** together and straighten this thing out. Mickey Redmond was on Drew & Mike (local moring radio in Detroit) and he sounded pretty bummed out about the Versus/DTV conflict, apparently he's a DirecTV subscriber too. I hope they come up with some type of deal today, it may be a long shot but it's possible. They might just be holding out 'til the 11th hour just because that's how lots of these business negotiations seem to happen. thank god for CBC here in Detroit.

you're probably right but for a few years now I've been hoping that they would go back to the non-Hockeytown logo at center ice. I pretty much dislike everything about the Hockeytown marketing thing except for hockeytown cafe, I especially hate that stupid 'hey, hey, hockeytown' song. Red Wings fans are always saying how they like to keep things traditional but no one has a problem with the hockeytown logo at center ice. I think it's a little cheesy and I would just like to see 1 big winged wheel at center ice. besides, pittsburg is hockey town now...remember

But Eaves wasn't playing for teams like the Red Wings. Just makes me realise how much Fil really needs to step it up this season, I hope he's been working on his shot this offseason.

Man, I would have loved to be in your bros. shoes. I'm not sure why people are so down on Williams, I thought he improved quite a bit since being traded, if he signs for less than a something like 1.2mil then I think it would be a solid signing.
