to create even more tradition in the nhl all third jerseys should be THROWBACK ONLY. Every team, regardless of how long they have been a franchise for. I think the third jersey is a good idea, but the nhl isn't spot on with some of the styles

well i hate the ducks and i want toronto to be great. im soooo happy that toronto actually gives a s*** about their hockey club. hopefully with wilson coaching and burke managing this team will be a contender

im worried when tv stations go all digital (if they already haven't switched) the signal will look worse, especially on a hdtv. i hope in the next two-three years we will be able to have the whole package in hd. i never really cared about the picture, but after my friend gave me an hdtv and i watched a few local sharks games i found there to be a dramatic difference.

the comcast nhl center ice package for northern california sucks ass. some times it is so grainy that it looks like im watching a sega game. last nights wings and 'nucks games sounded like it had some digital distortion all over the audio.$160 and putting up with crappy audio and video is the price to see a hockey game on tv.

I get a chance to watch all of the sharks games living in the bay area of california. In the last 5+ years i have never thought they were even close to making a legit cup run. The sharks have a totally different look and feel this season. Todd McClellan is one piece. A new look defense is another. They play a puck possesion game that rivals the red wings, but there is distinct differences..... Size: there is some giants out here. Jody Shelly: this dude can hold teams accountable. A cup hungry Roenick: Never won a stanley cup. San Jose will be quite a force all year. They have some key elements that the red wings could use.

there has been many a choke years for the wings other than 03-07. you say "show up"? I hate to see what thornton does when he "shows up" because last year he had almost 100 points. Cheecho was still healing from a surgery he had the summer prior. In the playoff both players weren't completely devoid of scoring. They (joe and cheech) won't have to be powerhouses THIS playoff year. They play a different system; notice the whole team is scoring goals. They are the only other team in the west who was a shot at the cup. I hope The wings can repeat this year. I also hope that roenick signs with the sharks for one more year and they take the cup in 2010. The sharks have a respectable organization, they don't play dirty and they are a fun team to watch.

this post had nothing to do with the loss last week to san jose. detroit was really tired from the ducks game the night before. I have also watched them choke hard every playoff year, but anyone who doesn't think this team is real deal needs to check themselves and start watching the sharks play this year...they play waayyy different. A mature Marleau with no Ron Wilson up his ass, Cheechoo who is healthy from a old hernia surgery, Nabby who hasn't been too solid this year but good enough, Thornton who has been the captain of team canada. A solid d-core featuring Rob Blake, Dan Boyle, Christian Erhoff, and young gun Marc-Edouard Vlasic. They are all playing together, and all playing well. They also have some young go-getter forwards who will make an imprint this year. Not too much dead weight with these sharks. Yes they are playoff chokers but I know another team who choked for many a years, before and during 4 stanley cups in 11 years. So lets not talk about playoff choking, because we have been one of the biggest chokers of all time.

Matt Carle, i could see him being a killer goal scoring d-man in a few years. somebody needs to hang on to him for awhile in order for him to get comfortable. I do enjoy having Dan Boyle on the sharks.
