Maybe because his appendix was acting up? I believe an appendix-less Lilya will return to ice with the speed that will shock everyone. All kidding aside, I think one reason is the Wings have been playing Eastern Conference teams mostly (5 out of 6) and they are not used to them. Last year the scores have been close when the Wings played a good Eastern Conference team. They also started the season with mostly one-goal games.

The past 5 games have been one-goal game, whether win or lose, and don't count the empty-netter by Zeta when Conklin was in net. I would say Conklin keep GAA at 1, and Wings score 3 goals - Dats, Homer, Cleary. Go wings!

I'm happy for Hossa, but something is bugging me and I have to get it out... Did you see after the goal, Dats is waiting to congratulate/hug Hossa, but he skated past Dats celebrating his goal, ans waited for others come to congratulate him. I don't think Zets would do that.

On the NHL "real time" scoreboard, they showed how many inches the puck has missed the net. Anybody know how they figured that out at such speed?
