I see zero stories, and a couple videos on the main page. Am I missing something?

Well thank you for showing you have no idea how to know if he had intent on that. And this is a public discussion forum. If you make a point that I think is crap I'm going to say something about it. Tough cookies, Jr.

The whole team WASN'T blamed, but in games like Buffalo Osgood was straight out hung out to dry. These last few the defense has at least been marginal. No one is considering Osgood a god, but they are saying he is doing exactly what he needs to win, which is exactly what people like you thought wouldn't happen with the goaltender. All you are doing is trying to call out the people who support Osgood in order to save face.

AFTER the injury. No hands were up when the hit was made. And yet I am the one who understands the rules are not quoted word for word every time. A violent check is not always a charge and a hit that has a player make contact with the boards is no always a board. He was right next to the boards so he could not have been thrown into them in the manner in which the rules are laid out. Yet you quoted them word for word. Who cares if the goalie obscured his view? Nothing in the rules implies that you have to let up on a hit when the player doesn't see you coming. Get the point? Understand? Clean hit. Do you read ******* minds now? How are you supposed to know the intent?

Make up for Hossa's no-goal last year. So f*** THAT.

This is why I'm an Osgood fan 24/7/365. f*** the haters.

Since the games won't be sold out I'd say go for it. I'm not that bold, since half the arena fills up by the middle of the second (I don't understand how people can miss an entire period of hockey).

Well maybe he is still in the Thanksgiving spirit!

Well it is getting close to Thanksgiving....

I was making a joke based on my username.

What's wrong with calling someone Doc? Huhh??

I tried it last year, and the seats are pretty high normally for the upper bowl. No seat is bad in the house, so 15 bucks to see a professional hockey team is a win in my book either way.

That depends on the league's definition of 'Automatic'

Funny, you weren't saying the same thing when Franzen went after Malkin the year prior. Was Franzen "sending a message" too? -
Don't hate on Beninati. That guy is my second favorite sportscaster behind Thorne. His voice is perfect for the sport.

Datsyuk with a DRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! Gomez and Perry cancel... There's a couple "Emrickisms" that just annoy me to no end.

Claude Lemieux hit Kris Draper from behind, causing severe facial injuries, punched Slava Kozlov in the back of the head during a stoppage in play, and was generally a punk and a cheapshot artist. Pronger tried to injure Yzerman in the 2002 playoffs, smashed Holmstrom's head into the boards in the 2007 playoffs, and once again is a punk and cheapshot artist. Crosby dove a couple times in his rookie year, punched some other guy in the buttocks, and had the audacity to accept an interview after winning the Stanley Cup Finals. One of these doesn't belong.

Do you even know what those rules mean? Because you completely butchered them. That was not a boarding call. If you consider that a boarding call then you would have to believe that Abdelkader's hit in the Flames game was a boarding (I mean he did hit him into the boards and everything). Second, the player was inches from making contact before he turned, so how exactly was he supposed to let up? I don't care if he didn't see him or not, it is not the hitter's responsibility to read another player's mind and make sure he knows he is coming. That isn't a penalty. Your charging interpretation also applies to just about any big hit that is made in the OHL and NHL, so I'm not even going to bother discussing that rule in detail. You've already shown you don't understand it whatsoever. I would also like to know why the hitter should let up just because the guy he is hititng may or may not know he is coming. If his back isn't turned and he has the puck, he is fair game. Once he was making the hit, his back was still not turned, and only at the last second (before he could stop from making contact) he turned his back. That isn't the hitter's fault. And finally, you say this hit is dirty. Why exactly? Elbows up? Aim for the head? Jump? Do any of those apply to the hit? No, they don't, which is why I wonder why you believe this hit to be dirty. A yearly suspension is a joke, and it's a shame that a player got that suspension from making a hit.

Yes, actually. What do you expect him to do? When asked a question about a game he just played, say "You know I'd like to give a shout out to Alexander Ovechkin and Pavel Datsyuk, those guys are really great players who need to be covered more."? You are asking too much of the guy. It is the NHL's fault if they don't publicize more players than Crosby. He was doing the interview BEFORE the handshake line even started, and he shook the majority of player's hands when he was finished (I think Lidstrom and Drapes were the only two guys whose hands he didn't shake). The guy is in his early twenties and just won the cup. He gets asked to do an interview shortly after (btw no player has ever been given an interview before the handshake line in the finals). Of course he is going to take it. He is excited, he is young. Get over it please. Once again, first time the captain of a winning team has been interviewed before the handshake line even starts. Crosby was just doing an interview and since the handshake line hadn't started yet, he didn't see the harm. If the handshake line didn't even start till after his interview you wouldn't be bitching and moaning about it. He will not be stripped of his captaincy because well, that's an incredibly stupid idea. Once again, get over it. He doesn't think he is too good, he was just doing a god damn interview which started BEFORE they lined up for the handshakes. You could even blame Lidstrom for waiting longer than ten seconds. Actually, Crosby DID. Once again, first time I've ever seen an interview done before the handshake line. So yes, it is the journalists fault that they needed to do an interview immediately after Crosby won the cup before the handshake line. Waaaa waaa waaaa. Somebody call the waaaaaaambulancceeeeee.

Bingo, that's the entire point. Get over it, ladies and gents. -
Yeah, how dare Crosby conduct an interview. Seriously, if you want to blame someone, blame the newscasters for interviewing Crosby before the handshake for the first time I've ever seen a cup win. Crosby didn't do anything wrong for f***s sake.

Thomas Holmstrom has 8 goals right now. Give it time and things will even out.

Liambas is suspended for the season. http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/story/2009...suspension.html Commissioner's comments in bold. I cannot believe that he holds the hitter accountable for the hit but not the other player accountable for turning his back last second and not having his helmet strapped on correctly. I do not like this suspension one bit.

They'll get signed just like Malkin and Crosby got signed. No big deal.
