Looking for an 80-2 season guys!
-
You honestly don't get the concept of that statement?
-
Except the difference is the Wings fans know what post-season success feels like past the year 2000.

If he was such a terrible defensive player he wouldn't be on a five on freaking three penalty kill now would he? With Franzen gone, Babcock and the rest of the team is going to have to take a serious look at their team system and work on the serious problems that are apparent. It gives them adversity. It gives them something to prove. Something to prove to the rest of the NHL, the media, and the fans that just because there is a salary cap doesn't mean they have to be like everyone else and struggle when the going gets tough. Detroit didn't develop a winning system founded by guys like Stevey Y, the Russian five, Nicklas Lidstrom, Scotty Bowman, Brendan Shanahan, Ken Holland, Jimmy D, and Hakan Andersson just to fall into a hole simply because the team isn't loaded with talent like they once were. This system is the best in sports. Now they have a chance to prove it.

I don't see why not. He'd probably pay Holland to play for a cup contender for once. Especially a cup contender filled with other SWEEEEDDEEESSSS.
-
I remember posting that awhile back. Good picture.
-
It is possible it wasn't a complete tear and the four months is an overestimate. Or maybe not, I know very little about the human body. *insert sex joke here*
-
Kovalchuck.
-
He won't be ready to play by February.
-
Hey, he still gets paid, so maybe he faked it to get some workers comp.
-
It's okay, we have Brad May to make up the goal scoring. Actually, signing May sounds more genius since now Detroit can't exactly out skill their opponent every single game anymore. Congrats, an enforcer may just influence the team a bit.
-
You could call him stupid for not wearing padding there for the second night in a row.
-
I love the organ. It should be a regular treat considering the Joe doesn't play the best music. "Just a city boy...born and raised in SOUTH DETWOOIIIITTT!!"
-
This is why we need enforcers.
-
I agree with the bold.
-
Holland should have signed Floyd Mayweather.
-
No because it is the system. Durr.
-
I give up.
-
He's looked more or less like what I expected. Not awful, but not really any kind of gambreaker out there.

It was a skilled player going after a skilled player that took a shot to one of his own players. Size is irrelevant in this case because that wasn't why Malkin targeted him. He was the closest to Zetterberg, Talbot was being engaged by another Wing, so Malkin, enraged as you already conceded, went after him. And a lot of older fans would disagree that Malkin's instigator warranted a suspension. Campbell has clearly pointed it out to young and old fans alike what the basis is for a suspension. You continue to ignore that. Was Campbell trying to keep a star player on the ice for the ratings? So Pittsburgh could have a chance to win? Drake: You sure you don't have MPD?
-
I'll concede that, however he has still proven nothing that shows Malkin was trying to send a message. His own post agrees that Malkin was frustrated and angry. Plenty of people do stupid things when they are aggravated but that doesn't mean they would be sending a message. Not at all. My point remains standing. Your move egroen. Please give me something that can show that Malkin was attempting to send a message on that play.
-
I never said that. Not once. Irrelevant. Me "not watching hockey long" or "me being young" has NOTHING to do with the fact that the causes for the suspension DID NOT APPLY to Malkin. Not at all. Campbell has explained it in bold print. It has shown with the way they have enforced the rule. Once again, I never said that.
-
You really have to be a Penguins hater to think that Malkin would be on the ice, for any situation, to send a message. Happened with players prior. This isn't special treatment. Malkin was not trying to send a message in the last five minutes and was not trying to seek retribution for a prior incident. His situation did not apply. Also this: "was obviously frustrated (particularly Malkin who had been completely shut down at that point) and he went out of his way to target Zetterberg (the cazuse of much of Pittsburgh's frustration)" Does not mean that Malkin was trying to send a message. I have taken runs at other players before because of frustration, and so have many other players in the NHL. That isn't message sending. That is getting angry.

Where are you getting these pictures?
