Wow. Amazing really.

1. If you see a player involved in a scrum with one of your own the first instinct is to help him out 2. If you think Malkin was out there to send a message you are delusional 3. Regardless of fine print, non goons in the past have been pardoned from this rule. Not just Malkin.
-
Homer was also the direct cause of the first Blackhawks' goal.
-
Yes, a fourth liner should be suspended because that is who the ruling is for. Fourth liners and "goons" who try to take liberties with the other team's better players. Neither Walker or Malkin were in that category. Walker reacted to Ward coming at him and Malkin was trying to defend his teammates after Zetterberg was involved in a scrum with Talbot if I'm not mistaken. Neither were there simply to send a message. The fights just happened.

It was after game two. A 3-1 game.
-
Suspensions based on that ruling have been rescinded before. http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/stanleycup...instigator.html P.S. YOU brought it up.
-
Voted goaltending because two goals is too many!
-
That was a good call based on the incentive of the rule. Lets not get into an "grar Pittsburgh" discussion now.
-
Because Backstrom has a lot of offensive talent.

It's a fan vote. It really is the stupidest voting system they could use.

Surprisingly he was a sleeper on my fantasy team. He is proving to be a real winner, however I think centering Ovechkin is a big part of him doing so well.
-
Agree to disagree. The good news is both of us enjoyed a good fight and a good game of hockey.
-
I missed it but I heard Osgood got run by a Hawk. And the only time I remember the Hawks taking serious liberties was in game 4 of the playoffs. UK: Missed my point but thank you for that.
-
You mean like this? You guys are unbelievable.
-
No, players are given a GAME MISCONDUCT in the last five minutes of regulation if they commit an instigator penalty.
-
Yeah brah!

May destroyed whoever that nobody was. Loved how May backed up and faced directly towards him before the fight to. Classic.
-
So is it a May-Maltby-Draper line now?
-
Yeah, forget the Wings staying loyal to players who have been here and helped them win cups! Holland made his bed, so he should have to sleep in it. And once again with the "Holland was afraid of signing an enforcer" act. Perhaps the enforcers are intimidating him?
-
Cause I haven't repeatedly said in the past that I enjoy seeing enforcers on the ice and would cheer any enforcer that plays for the Red Wings in every single one of their efforts. I've said it before and I'll say it again: you don't know what you are talking about.
-
He's just playing the waiting game. If he keeps up the effort, he will be a sure-fire regular next season.
-
May would destroy Getzlaf.
-
You didn't say for the Ducks.
-
It is irrelevant. I don't know latin, but I know that it was a logical fallacy.

It's actually POST cum hoc ergo propter hoc.
