The Penguins goaltending IS suspect. Don't act like Fleury had any kind of effect on the outcome of the series. At least not in a positive manner.

Conklin was great last year, so I don't see why they would get rid of him.

Comes with the territory. This is hockey, and your stars are going to get hit regardless of how many enforcers or tough guys you put on the third and fourth lines.

If Lilja doesn't play this season you just keep him on LTIR. Salary comes off the books and he is still on the roster if he gets better.

1. No defensive core we try to sign is going to contain Getzlaf. He is a great player. 2. Did you look at Detroit's GAA? They let in only two goals in the last two games. The defense was not a problem in the finals. They kept Crosby to three points and silenced Malkin from game five after. -

I agree with Cern. How many mods/admins are there? I haven't seen Jedi on in a long time and he is the only one I know of.

The cap hit I like. The length scares me a bit.

Filpulla is staying. If you want to keep Hossa you better keep Fil because he is the one forward who was able to create offense with the guy. He is one of the best defensive forwards on the team, and he has a lot of playmaking ability. His scoring chance in game seven was the best any Wing had the entire game.

Can anyone explain why the media isn't getting serious flak for this? They are the ones who HAD to speak with Crosby directly following his cup win. I have never seen anything like that in my entire life. Not once.

I don't believe Lidstrom was speared in the nuts. And Lidstrom was injured in the 07-08 season while Downey was in the lineup. What deterrent was that?

Hudler: yes. Sammy: No. He is streaky but he has been streaky at some very effective times. Just don't put him on the PP anymore. And Abdelkader would be a significant downgrade in my opinion. -

Significant is the big word here. I don't want to see a lot of effective players leave just because we have a "superstar" who may be more determined next year. It is either he suddenly lights it up in the playoffs (with who on his line?) or we sign a long term contract to a playoff choker. -

So are plenty of Wings. But when it comes to the system, not every player shines when needed. Hossa in my opinion was one of those guys, even while playing with Franzen and Filpulla. -

Take a look at the guy in the ******* playoffs. Saying Hossa doesn't mesh is not stupid. It is quite obvious when watching him and Datsyuk try to play together, and him and Zetterberg. It just doesn't work. -

Who else? Depth. We have the star power already. Trying to stock up on the best free agents is idiotic when you look at the big picture. Hossa needs to take a massive paycut or be gone. I'm hoping the latter. -
