Wait, so you mean it's anybody's game? Man, I already bought the championship hat and everything. Dammit...
-
I would consider this a "freak injury" more than anything.
-
I'm not saying it happens DIRECTLY after. All I'm saying is that there WAS an injurty some time PRIOR to the Wings winning a cup in three of the last five.
-
Interesting, if this hold up and the Wings also win the cup this year. Konstantinov:Cup win in 1998 Fischer: Cup win in 2008 Lilja: Cup win in 2009 That would mean 3 of the Wings five cup wins were preceded by injuries to some great defensemen.
-
If you are listed on the roster you technically played the game. So yes he will get his name on the cup.

That was Matt Cooke actually. Still incredibly funny, though.- 740 replies

Very surprised to see him go, and see his replacement. Dallas won't be doing any better next year, imo.

PS 2009 Stanley Cup Final Photoshop War: Pittsburgh Penguins
Doc Holiday replied to Matt's topic in Hall of Fame
Talbot was giving the Wings bench a bunch of crap (probably like "see you in game six" or something) so the Wings bench was having a good time mocking him.- 740 replies

If you can't deal with someone thinking Detroit is going to win with 100% certainty, frankly you can f*** off. And learn grammar. You aren't making sense.
-
The funny thing is they both picked the Wings before the series started.
-
Oh, so you KNOW the Wings are going to lose game seven? Are you ******* stupid?
-
Possibly, but also consider the parameters involved. The Penguins were dominated in game five last year. This can go either way, and your points are about as valid as mine are. Both can be disagreed with for numerous reasons and both have merit to them. Here's to a great game seven.
-
Guys, leave Outsider alone. I bet you ten bucks the majority of his hatred for the situation is caused from losing only a few hours before. He'll be sobered up and not as doom and gloom tomorrow.
-
It isn't about the gender, it's about the content. Hancock has horrible content.

I don't see why not. The steel is mostly on the outside, and if necessary steel columns can be moved and replaced if the concourse needs to be larger, wider, etc. Just like you see when they renovate bridges, they can keep it standing while removing key components to the structure.
-
We know that the Wings sucked in game six. They weren't too hearty in game four either. Detroit has bounced back from EVERY game (save game three, but that was a pretty close matchup) they have lost this post-season. And they have done it in stride.
-
100%. Detroit has an amazing opportunity here. Win the cup for the second year in a row at home in front of all the fans who had been waiting for Lidstrom to hoist it since game five last year. Detroit will not squander this chance to shut the media up. To stop the doubts about the Red Wing dynasty. To stop the nonsense that Sidney Crosby is the NHL. To stop the "unstoppable" Evgeni Malkin and show everyone why the Red Wings are great every year. This is Detroit's to lose. And I'll be damned if they don't act like they are the best team in the world on Friday. Because this is the ******* Detroit Red Wings. They are hockey. They are what all teams dream of being. And they are going to win that Stanley Cup in front of their home crowd because they don't know anything else but that.
-
There is a reason stats like these are talked about. Because in all likelihood, the Pens are in a tough spot. Consider the last time a team won after trailing 2-0 in the finals.
-
I don't like her. It's too bad cause she seems like a nice person.
-
Why even bother posting this? This post is basically someone upset because WINGS fans are being WINGS fans after a WINGS loss. What do you expect?
-
This guy is my only positive:
-
How good is Fleury in Detroit?
-
Detroit didn't have desire in game four either.
-
We aren't. You are giving too much respect to the Pens. You are making assertions with BULLs*** to back it up. All you have is a hunch based on what you think will happen, and you are attacking those of us who are using a previous occurence as a reason to believe we are right. What do you have to think the Penguins are going to keep their composure? They had the "hunger" in game five and lost. See how I'm using previous games as evidence? What are you using? f*** your belief on hunger. You act like Detroit has none. What a crock of crap.
