8-0. Come on guys! It was only 7 years ago!
-
If only we had Downey. Didn't get to see the game last night. How was Ozzie?
-
Horrible elbow by Neids. Obviously was mad that Datsyuk was on his ass there so he threw his arm back to get him off. I'm glad I missed this game.
-
It wasn't interference. Hiller didn't even move before the puck passed him.
-
How can you call goaltender interference when the goaltender doesn't attempt to move on the play? PLAYERS CAN BE IN THE CREASE AS LONG AS THEY ARENT IMPEDING THE GOALIE'S ABILITY TO MAKE A SAVE.
-
Konnan, if you honestly think Ovechkin moved his knee when Gonchar tried to move out of the way then the rest of your argument isn't worth responding to. That is like saying Holmstrom looked back before he elbowed Wiz in game 3.
-
The Canes are my non Red Wing team I want to see succeed this post-season. Boston is getting completely outclassed right now and I'm loving every second of it. If they lose this game they will be down 3-1 in the series against the ******* Hurricanes of all teams. Since I didn't know there was a separate GDT, please merge this if you guys can. Thanks.
-
Barry, your agenda is showing.
-
I didn't know the Canucks were guaranteed to make it to the conference finals with a 2-2 series.
-
As an fyi, no one threw beer at Tortz. He get mad because a fan was taunting him and sprayed water at him. Drake: Other than Staal, who do the Canes have? Detroit has better depth than both of those teams, but the difference is Pittsburgh has two all stars while Carolina has one.
-
The Capitals did it this year.
-
Ovechkin had a wide stance. That is for balance. Ovechkin's right skate (the skate that made contact with Gonchar) did not turn. It was nowhere near an attempt to knee on knee and two minutes is the maximum that play should have had because of the fact they did make knee on knee contact. You honestly think Ovechkin was trying to injure his fellow countryman here?
-
The Pens showed NO signs of weakness last year, and it bit them in the ass. They actually are facing adversity now. The Canes have faced adversity and have beaten the Devils in seven (winning the game with two goals in under a minute in the third) and may beat the top East seeded Bruins in five games. Either team coming from the east(if those two teams win and the Wings make it to the finals) will be difficult. I'd rather face the Canes because I think they are not as talented as the Penguins offensively and I think our offense could solve Ward (we have solved Hiller and Mason).
-
Not dirty. Worth two minutes but if Gonchar didn't try to move out of the way (Ovechkin's right leg did not move when Gonchar did) then there would be no discussion. It is unfortunate for Gonchar and I hope he gets better but this is not suspendable at all.

So your opinion is Sidney Crosby is a whiner because he talks to the refs on bad calls or other things it is pointless because they won't change their mind? I didn't know you thought every captain in the NHL was a whiner. Cub: That is too bad, but it does show that Crosby is young and isn't exactly an "expert" in how to be a captain. The guy will learn.
-
I'm not about to say the guy acts older than his age. That isn't the case. When his team was just down 3-1 in the series last final he went after Zetterberg for no reason at all. That was unbecoming of a captain. However he is very young and he will learn how to be mature like Lidstrom and Yzerman were. I haven't seen anything that makes him "whiny" in comparison to players his age however. Of course we don't get hardly as many quotes from anyone else, and no one in the league (Toews is an exception) has the responsibility that Crosby has.
-
My main gripe is that Crosby seems to get a reputation for whining because he goes to the officials at such a young age. He is a captain and that is his job. I've never seen him go to the officials with a "omg you so stupid" attitude in the last couple of years, but feel free to correct me. That is what I'm asking for.
-
You are right, a guy who currently leads the league in winning percentage since 2003 has no business making these decisions.
-
Any example of comparison showing that Crosby regularly whines to the officiating in a very different tone than Nicklas Lidstrom. You misunderstood what I asked.
-
Alright, lets see an example.
-
That isn't Holmstrom's job. It never has been.
-
AND YOU HAD THE GALL TO CALL THAT "ENTERTAINMENT!"
-
He's a captain. He is supposed to talk to the referees when something happens. Just like Lidstrom does when there is a borderline call or play. Should we call Lidstrom a ******* baby because he talks to the refs a lot?
-
Who exactly says that?
