Diet Coke is horrid. If you want to go diet, go Pepsi. Much better diet drink. If Detroit doesn't repeat, I'm blaming your addiction to Diet Coke as a reason.
-
1. Burden of proof is on you to prove Green is a favorite. You haven't. All you have proven is Green is the best offensive defenseman this season. 2. You talk about me making my argument worth a damn when yours isn't. Your argument is that if I can't pick a favorite then I must be wrong in my analysis of Green. Horrible logic. There does not have to be a clear cut favorite in voting for a particular trophy. Lidstrom and Chara have been neck and neck in my opinion, with Green at a close third. Your attempts to twist the argument to help your case are duly noted. I already told you to stop with the rhetoric.
-
The real travesty is you thinking Diet Coke is actually a good drink.
-
What a stretch. What a ******* stretch to attempt to prove that somehow Green is the clear cut #1. Stop with your rhetoric already. It's not working. Obviously you won't even bother understanding my point because you seem to believe that if I don't think Green is the frontrunner I don't think Green has a shot. I SAID THAT THE NORRIS IS NOT GREEN'S TO LOSE. NONE OF THOSE ARTICLES PICK GREEN AS THE CLEAR CUT FAVORITE TO WIN IT OVER LIDSTROM OR CHARA. NOT ONE. ALL YOU HAVE IS A LARGE QUANTITY OF QUOTES TALKING GREEN UP AND TALKING ABOUT THE FACT THAT GREEN HAS A GOOD SHOT TO WIN. THAT IS NOT SOMEONE SAYING GREEN IS THE FAVORITE TO WIN.
-
Shoreline, are you aware of what a strawman is? Because that entire list of quotes was to go after a point I never made. Green will most likely be a finalist. But to say it is his to lose is extreme. None of those articles agreed with you on that point.
-
Your views are extreme. I haven't seen anyone; fan, analyst, coach, or whoever, pick Green as the frontrunner for the Norris. Why? Because it isn't true. His offensive ability will bring him high up in voting, but the fact he is an aferthought on the PK, has a good +/- while not playing against other team's top lines, and does not have even close to the same abilty on defense as Lidstrom and Chara will keep him from being the frontrunner this year. That is the bottom line.
-
Wasn't Chicago a bottom feeder last year?
-
Crosby is a top 5 player. Green is a top 5 Defenseman this year. Green will probably be a finalist for the Norris. The Norris is in no way his to lose.
-
Heh heh heh. Heh.

Were you like this february last year too? Ask Lidstrom what the atmosphere is like in the locker room. What's up with you making judgements as a layman? Defense has been bad at times, yeah. There have been plenty of games where the defense has been the same as it was last year. Even if it wasn't, so what? Too late, you seem like a few of the "WINGS ARE DOOMED" posters I see around here. Can any fan critique while being optimistic and not go "This is the Sharks year, no bout a doubt it." Same could have been said for plenty of Wings teams in the past.
-
This is a game where I miss Downey a lot. We would have still lost, but at least Downs would have kicked someone's ass.
-
Seriously, are you a Sharks fan? You act like they are so good they are immune to upsets.
-
Osgood. Go ahead and flame me for it.
-
How do either of these teams scare you? No teams scare me in the playoffs, because Detroit has shown they can lose to anyone if they don't give a damn and can beat anyone if they do. Detroit is who Detroit should look out for in the playoffs.
-
In his defense Lidstrom was boooo for me tonight.
-
1. Not a Wings fan. 2. Fairweather fan. Nice attempt at the "Wings fan" facade but you are as transparent as glass.
-
How'd we do against the horrible Central last year? You people act like Detroit is used to beating bottom feeders.
-
4-5 posts. Osgood didn't get that. Nor did he get the benefit of the defense preventing breakaways ON THE POWERPLAY or the benefit of players on their man wide open down low. Mac played a great game but when he got beat the defense was there. End of story. Btw Osgood made over 40 saves in the Dallas overtime loss. Horrible defense in that game as well.
-
Osgood was going to block it in his stick and it somehow tipped his glove and went across the crease. He did enough to keep the puck out of the net, but there was an open man on the other side.
-
That doesn't negate anything I've said. OFFENSIVELY. OFFENSIVELY They are getting an assist because they are great offensive players. The top two lines are the only ones who score because MALKIN AND CROSBY ARE ON THOSE TWO LINES. Pittsburgh is not deep like Detroit. They have virtually no talent other than those two.
-
You are right about not needing a guy like Luongo. However, with the loss of Lidstrom there is going to be a serious void in defense, and that is a void that a guy like Luongo can fill two fold. We didn't need Hossa this year either yet Holland was able to sign him anyways. See? Another comparison. I will agree with you on everything but the Ducks. That was a great team.
-
Offensively, Datsyuk and Zetterberg are not as good as Malkin and Crosby.
