I'm sure everything is just preliminary with Franzen. They don't want to force him to play just because he is hot as a pot right now where he could potentially get an injury and be out for even longer.

How many games did Downs play last year? Personally the only games I want to see an enforcer are when we play teams like the Ducks, Flames, Avs, etc because those are the teams who are normally going to give us a fit when it comes to physical hatred. Otherwise I see him not providing much to the team.

I think Babcock is making little tweaks as the season goes on. He has always been known for his composure and he keeps it by doing renovations one little step at a time. We have such a top forward line we don't have to worry about tanking due to certain players in the roster so he has the luxury of making smaller tweaks and not having to worry about revamping our forward and defensive lines to make them work as soon as possible.

Well Lebda is out and Meech is in. And Hossa was slightly injured that game so he didn't play as much. He had some problem with his leg or knee or something like that

Out of curiosity what exciting defensemen can you name? Personally the ones who make the exciting plays are the guys who score the goals.

I understand what you mean. (My super sweet 16, the hills for example) but I don't think that saying that losing faith in everyone under 20 is exactly smart. You are right in saying standards have gone way down due to the way the society has become more and more secular (who cares if she looks and acts like a ****...free country and how dare you judge her for being herself) and it is sickening to think. I don't find this terrible really. If it was a Sharks fan I would expect them to show clips of Sharks scoring and such. I think it is just the fact that we won and we aren't being glorified that seems to upset a few of you, imo.

Hank has been doing well I will admit. However when the majority of your team flat out sucks, you can definitely attribute the insane partying to it. McLellan is going to be a great coach but this thread is evidence of how much Wings fans are panicking right now. Babcock is the coach that made this team what it is. He brought us from the first round chokers to a consistent playoff contender, and one that has a great shot of winning it again this year. Detroit has played like crap, yes. They are adapting to new linemates, current players are getting old and bad, our best defenseman is in a slump, and the players have been struggling with the "less party, more business" situation right now. It is quite evident because Conklin and Hossa are playing out of their minds compared to the rest of the team and it shows. We should be happy the adversity is coming in the start of the season instead of late April.
