You hate the Wings. That is understandable, but not what the chant is. The chant is that Detroit sucks. Well, for the past 18 years Detroit has not sucked, and Chicago has had to watch Detroit skate away with the cup 4 times in the last twelve years. Your team on the other hand hasn't had a cup ring since 1961, and has had periods of sucking in the past two decades. So what team does the chant really apply to? And should you really be proud of a chant that targets a team that doesn't apply? -
They have always been here. I still want McCrimmon fired, though.

ITT: Blackhawk fan trying to contradict Wings fans on a Wings mesage board. Quite the fruitless endeavor if you ask me. -

Who is getting all butthurt about it? -
May was playing during the second, but probably not much during the third. Seemed like Babs was putting Zetterberg out there on every opportunity so it doesn't surprise me that the 4th liners got little to no ice in the third.
-
Thank Tim Thomas.
-
His twelve year contract and press conference afterward speaks otherwise. You people are completely insane to think anyone but Zetterberg will be the bonafide leader of this team when Lids retires.
-
I saw Miller out there quite a lot. He was taking a crap load of bad angle shots, but other than that played a solid game. Fourth line looked badass.
-
Osgood is a proven starter and was Detroit's MVP last playoffs. Howard has not proven much at all. There is a reason people doubted Howard.
-
He deserves no fine or suspension. He was simply making up for the grit that Detroit lost in playing Miller instead of Newbury. Seriously, what play are you even talking about?
-
You know what would be nice? If our depth could show up in the playoffs.
-
Because Holland hates you and wants to make you suffer greatly. And it's working.
-
This is the only play where a player has been completely blindsided by a cheap hit (correct me if I'm wrong, I'll gladly retract) this season, so that sarcastic statement would only apply to Drury.
-
Does THIS look right to you?!?!!?
-
That is a big thing. Especially since players have gotten bigger and the game has gotten faster. There are many different issues that need to be addressed if the league wants to minimize the amount of head injuries in the sport.

So wait, you insult me, I say that you shouldn't lower yoruself to those petty insults if you want to have an open honest discussion, and you once again insult me? For the record YOU were the one who started the tirade of insults and accusations against my character in this thread. It was YOU who chose not to argue the content and instead argued the poster. (And if you put me on ignore, then it's too bad you weren't no daisy. Just too high strung)

Seems to be the case considering how upset your posts tend to get when responding to me, the fact you call me a condescending ******, and the fact you are sick of me. Yet can't discuss it with me without hateful remarks and anger? Honestly if you think I'm doing something that is hurting the discussion then argue that. Don't lower yourself to petty insults. Strange how you think to know so much about me. Like I said before this is a discussion forum, and I like to discuss things, especially opposing viewpoints. You've never seen me at a game. You've never watched a game with me. You have no idea what I watch and how I watch it. So I would like you to think about what exactly leads you to believe what you just wrote. Bingo.

Honestly Harold, you need to relax and take some time outside if a discussion with someone you don't even know is pissing you off this much. It's a discussion forum. A place for people to discuss certain opinions about a certain issue. If you don't like it when someone disagrees with certain parts of your argument (which apparently to you is nitpicking) then perhaps a discussion forum isn't for you. And once again, you say there are more headshots but you don't show me any. I can think of two this year which involve actual targets to the head. The majority of hits that involve the head happen out of unfortunate circumstance (such as the numerous I mentioned in my previous post), and a lot of it can be attributed to multiple different things, the least of which is lack of respect or whatever you seem to think is in the players heads that makes them "big bad meanies" in comparison to the players of the past. Either discuss it or don't. Don't ***** and moan about it.

Wow harold. Defensive much? The entire issue I have with some people today is the fact that they bring up the fact that there is "lack of respect" in the league, and only cite increased concussions and head injuries as the evidence. That isn't evidence in and of itself. You talk about hits that there are more hits where the player gets very little of the players body. How many? One? Two? Richards hit? Sure. This hit? Absolutely. Phaneuf's hit in the preseason? No. Orr's hit on Lebda? No. The hit on Hedman a couple days back? No. Mike Brown's hit on Hudler back in the playoffs? No. Brad Stuart's hit on Umberger? No. How many hits with head injuries have been a direct result of blatant head shots? Once again, you have a correlation, and that is a start. But that isn't magical evidence that the game has changed and players don't respect anyone anymore. You could argue that players aren't respecting the defenders by putting themselves in positions that allow them to be wrecked by solid hits.

Welcome back to the big show, Manny.
