If it was anybody else he would not have had a problem just standing there. He seemed to forget that the other goalie was teh offspring of Patty Roy. Perhaps the guy doesn't watch the NHL?

This seems like a huge exaggeration. If he already created the system we just have to roll with it so I don't see how his loss is going to screw us over. Scotty wouldn't do something that cruel.

If anything I think he'd be a booster.

It's not other teams looking for him, it's him looking for other teams. If this year he is able to stack his stats and get one big offer, that makes him a high risk player, and I don't want to pull a Pittsburgh and get rid of key players (Franzen included) to keep a guy who probably leaves to make a large amount of cash. In the cap world Hossa will have a hard time fitting in when we have big stars like Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Lidstrom, Rafalski, and Stuart. If KH can get to keep both then I'm all for it but I would rather have a more humble player who can make a good amount of points for the team (this is all depending on what happens this season obviously) and gives us good cap space for our stars and other decent players. Essentially my opinion means jack squat in the long run depending on many factors, so its really just an opinion thing that you can't really be proven wrong on. We will see come july.

Wow that was hard to understand. Silly double negatives. Anywho, who would you rather keep after the year? Franzen (gives us more cap space for a great second liner) or Hossa (less cap space, chemistry, possible chance to leave when a bigger offer comes in).

I do not believe Hossa will be coming back next year. Franzen is a perfect player for the Wings and getting rid of him will be incredibly dumb. His post season dominance proved that well enough.

The game was, but after watching that his voice just ruined the big deal. You don't want to listen to some commentator act like he doesn't care.

Sorry but I'm going to have to agree that watching those last few seconds was not exciting with that play by play. I normally like him but that was pretty boring.

Oh one thing I hate about the current announcers is they like to ramble on about irrelevant hockey stories during the game. That happened like 5 times when Detroit scored these playoffs.

I totally agree he will become a great captain, but I just don't read too much into them giving him the C because he hasn't shown discipline or been very humble on the ice, so that was all my nitpick was about. The guy is friggin amazing, and he is one of the best in the league right now.

The thing is I can get you quotes from players, coaches, employees that talk about how great he is. All I've gotten is evidence that Crosby can handle the media attention well. Good for him but I have seen his emotions get the best of him way too many times and at the worst moments which doesn't help his case.

Gary thorne was the shiz. His excitement during the game made me excited when I watched on TV. I don't even know what bias you are talking about he was great for both sides.

Even if it was pretty showboaty, I loved that point. It definitely humbles a superstar and I think it made him better. Plus Kovalchuk got to taunt the face of the NHL. Win-win for everyone.

I still have a vipers ministick and I remember that was the first hockey game I ever went to.

Well I am trying to get some evidence of leadership (other than playing great, everyone knows he is an unbelievable player) but all I'm getting is accusations of being a "crosby hater". Come on man.
