I'm not. The Ribiero slash was a dive (why you bring it up I don't know because I said it was) but when you are being knocked into your own net it doesn't give you much chance to dive.
-
And I guess having guys like Kronwall, Datsyuk, Franzen, Lilja (even stuart at time) doesn't help us in any way when it comes to physicality.
-
...no it wasn't.
-
Really? I'd appreciate your logic behind Osgood being able to get past Sykora, while being shouldered, have his skate get caught in the net while his momentum is towards the net and be able to make it to the front without tumbling. I know the Ribiero incident was bad, but this wasn't even close.

Hossa Franzen Kronwall Osgood.
-
Please don't tell me you thought Osgood dove on that play. Please don't let it be true.

Hey only tough guys are able to pose like that. I thought that was what "enforcing" was all about. Fyi: Datsyuk was able to get punches in without getting hit because there was a ref between him and Roberts. Honestly if it was Pavel vs Gary the Scary I would hope they had an ambulance ready. Dats doesn't have the kind of fighting ability Roberts has.
-
And guys like Franzen/Lilja can't step up and throw down? Even Datsyuk and Hossa are scrappy so I don't see what the worry is over them.
-
You mean this??

Franzen? Lilja?

Chicago County Comissioner Already Trying to Mix It Up

I want to see if someone has a strong enough arm to throw an octopus on the ice. -
What is the price range for all four of the sports teams? That may give an indication of why people don't go to hockey games, or throw out a theory entirely.
-
That's impossible, there were no enforcers in that game!
-
Franzen is also win win. Physical presence plus scoring ability. And if he loses his touch, he will go back to being the old Franzen, which is incredibly valuable.
-
Then I suppose there is no excuse for everyone to come to the games if we do indeed have an enforcer on the team who brings fighting in.
-
That's probably because he hasn't decided on a number yet and that was his last number.
-
I'm sorry, but that is an insult to Nicklas Lidstrom.
-
I don't see why Mike would want to put Franzen back into the simple grinding job when he has proven that when put in an offensive job he can score consistently.
-
Franzen has proven he can score and do it well. He's going to get much more ice time and will be looked to for his scoring touch. Franzen is just another one of those diamonds in the rough.
-
It was great in my opinion. I really don't know how else they could have made it better. Each series had the right amount of time to review it based on significance, and the finals were great. Already watched it twice, planning on watching it again tonight.

Can we say Datsyuk is overrated considering his playoff past?
-
He was on one skate horizontal to the ice and was still able to put a handle on it. Orr (if I am not mistaken) jumped after the goal went in. Also on Zetterberg's goal against Colorado: They slowed down the replay and showed that Zetterberg saw where the puck was and knew what we was doing. It wasn't just a lucky swing of the stick.
-
Well the point is the score was so close and neither team was able to get a stranglehold on the game. Until Mccarty was like "OMG DANGLES!"
-
Ok McCarty's goal was special because he was a grinder. He wasn't the guy to score lots and lots of goals, but somehow he was able to break past a defenseman with good positioning and beat a great goaltender without even having to lift the puck up into the air. This was in a game where Detroit had so many chances but could not convert except on a single last minute goal in the first. You can't discount that goal just because his feet were on the ice.
