Zetterberg has the charisma on the team, is respected, and knows how to lead by example. Datsyuk would be a worthy candidate if he could speak english well. Unfortunately you can barely understand what he says a majority of the time and that would hurt for the new guys to get a handle on a captain they can't really understand. Draper will probably retire around the same time as Lindstrom, which wouldn't be an ideal situation for the team. Along with the others, no one has really been there long enough to seem worthy of captainship in my opinion. After Yzerman and Lidstrom, how are you supposed to follow?

...I never liked him when he was here. I'd watch games and wonder what the guy is doing. I thought it was terrible. Detroit is too classy for stick waving jumping to the side bull that he tries to pull. We have our own chirpers who play the game with much more pride and determination than him, so we don't need him at all.

You mean you want this guy back?

Had Konstantinov not gotten in that accident I can assure you he would have been a top player for the Wings. Of course that makes it all the more heartbreaking that he didn't get that shot.

What use do we have of Chelios? He is way past his prime, takes dumb penalties, and was a healthy scratch during the most important part of the season. I understand he is a veteran but I never saw him as a really valuable asset to the team since we picked him up. If I was him I'd understand I may not be as useful anymore and retire. Or maybe do what Larionov did and play for another team for one more year.

Why should anyone even care what this one guy has to say about who he thinks are the "monsters" of the NHL? The Wings have the trophies to prove they have the most monsters out of any team in the league, so this opinion is crap. Can we just get Thorne and Clement back on the air already?

What crap? It was quite apparent that the refs screwed up big time in the final stages of game 6, and this article just delves deeper in the subject. What's the big deal?

My sister is about to go on a date. Cool?

I agree when it comes to game 6. Lilja had his stick knocked out of his hands during the play that led to Pittsburgh's second goal. Turns out that if he had his stick he could have prevented the goal. Do referees get paid by how many hours they work or are they salaried? Cause if the league gives them more money for more games I could totally buy the refs looking to extend the series. I guess you never can tell though.

If Ellis keeps up what he did in the playoffs (most saves in a game in regulation) then I think he may be the x-factor which gets the Preds out of the first round for once.
