How was it easy? I thought the Wings took it easy on Friday and got killed by Chitcago, in order to kill Dallas tonight. -
I know at the Joe that the Wings always shoot twice at the same end every game. I assume all other arenas are like this (as a result of home bench and locker room layout). Looks like in Tampa that the Wings will shoot twice at the end with sections 120-128. I don't understand how he was cut, he dominated in the camp, scoring 5 points in 3 games and playing solidly defensively. TSN said he looked very good, and likely to make the team. I am very sad that he will not be on Canada's roster, I was really looking forward to seeing him play.

Maybe the writer meant to say that Sturm is the leading German scorer in the NHL? Any other Germans have more points than him? After tearing both the ACL and MCL in the playoffs last year, he is going to be a shadow of his former self for a while. Kings are stuck with the $3.5 million caphit because they can, and they get maybe a 3rd line depth forward who can chip in some goals. He was completely useless to Boston with that caphit.

So if he were to go down to GR, then get re-called, he would have to pass through re-entry waivers, and can get picked up? That is still not good. Maybe he could go on a conditioning stint like Kindl. If Draper were to replace Hudler in the lineup for a month.

I think some time in GR might be beneficial for Hudler. Let him light it up down there. If Hudler is waived, and someone picks him up, then the Wings are still responsible for half of his salary for this year and next?? If that is the case, then I don't think it is worth the risk of waiving him. Some team like Toronto, or another who is desperate for offense would pick him up.

I think Fleischmann is a great addition for Colorado. They are stacked with offensive centers now though, Stastny, Duchene, Mueller, and now Fleischmann. What type of player is Hannan? Is he going to fit in with the Caps? I hope the Avs aren't relying on Quincey to step up and play more minutes . That is, unless he can get his game going.

Are the Sharks as strong as last year? I don't think so. They're also dealing with some injuries. Wings have been flying lately. Hopefully they come out to play for this one. Good game: Wings win 4-2 Bad game: Wings lose 5-2

Let's not start this again. I think we can all agree that it would be best for Modano to play with the team all season long, so he can get used to the players and the system. With the injury he sustained, I'm seriously concerned that his time in the NHL is as done as I wish my dinner was. How much motivation is Modano going to have to work through the rehab and come back 100%? He has to feel pretty deflated right now.

Tatar has been on the 3rd line most of the season. Playing with a defensive minded center, Andersson. I think Mursak gets top line minutes though.

Atlanta was 1/1 on the PP last night. Hudler could have at least performed that well. Sarcasm aside, Hudler should be able to set up more offense than Miller on any given night, which is what we lacked in last nights blowout.

Looks like Pare definitely got the worst of that fight. So Tatar handled himself well? He got a nasty facewash before the fight, he couldn't get Lashoff's glove out of his face! lol. Then Lashoff proceeded to beat up Pare. I hope he gets it next time the Griffs play the Marlies.
