Anyone have a stream? There should be one for NHL Network tonight. -
Try http://www6.hockeystreams.com/ You need to buy a subscription, but the games are good quality. I used it one year in the playoffs, and it worked great. There are always free streaming options around.

BERTUZZI has won the final bobblehead, with over 500000 votes.
-
We know the 5 bobbleheads given out this year will be Pavel Datsyuk (Oct. 13), Henrik Zetterberg (Nov. 3), Johan Franzen (Dec. 8), Danny Cleary (Jan. 12) and Nicklas Lidstrom (April 5). Who will get the 6th? I want to see if this poll will be an accurate sample of the actual poll, where you can vote at facebook.com/detroitredwings or detroitredwings.com The winner will be revealed Monday, Aug 29th. vote here: http://redwings.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=72686&navid=DL|DET|home and here http://www.facebook.com/DETROITREDWINGS#!/DETROITREDWINGS?sk=wall EDIT: Bertuzzi has won the final bobblehead, with over 500 000 votes.

Looks like a towel. Don't forget to bring a towel!

I'd give almost anything to get a ride in one of those. Cool story

For sure Emmerton makes the team, unless he completely disappoints in camp. He is younger, and is a homegrown talent. Emmerton will get every chance over Conner. It is no problem to lose Conner to waivers (if even possible, I dunno his contract situation), and it is a much bigger risk to subject Emmerton to waivers for a team to pick up for free.

Kopecky is 29 when he signed this deal with Filppula was 24 or 25 when he signed. Im not exactly sure, you can do the math. Oh, and I forgot, LOL.

Jurco is a great talent for the Wings. Can you say Hossa Jr? I've read that Jurco is responsible in his own end when he's not scoring crazy highlight-reel goals. I think you mean 1 vowel. This team is really high on Slovak players. Tvrdon could turn out to be a steal, hopefully injuries don't continue to affect him.
-
I think the Wings are hoping for Tomas Jurco to still be around for the 35th pick. Then they will draft defense like they said. Jurco would be a solid prospect to develop with his comrade Tatar.
-
Sharks look damn good, but they gave up quite a bit for Burns. To Minn: Devin Setoguchi Charlie Coyle (1st rd pick last year, top prospect in their system) 28th Overall Pick To SJS: Brent Burns 2nd rd pick in 2012 Wings didn't have a chance at Burns. Minn wanted more offense. Wings would have had to trade Franzen + 1st pick + Tatar/Nyquist and even that might not have been good enough.

I never said if I was for or against having Jagr come to the Wings. I just added this random bit of information. It's the offseason, things are slow. Take it for what it's worth. There was no previous conversation about Jagr, it could have been any one of a million Czech hockey players if he was lying, but he specifically talked about Jagr. Personally, I think Jagr for under $2 million would be a good risk to take on. However, having played roughly average 60 games for the past 3 years, how would Jagr handle the 82 game grind of the NHL, plus ~20 intense playoff games in a deep run? Hopefully the coaching staff would be smart enough to rest him a bit throughout the season.
-
I once met a guy in Prague who deals cards at a casino on one of the main squares. He told me some stories about Jagr visiting his casino, and how much he loves to gamble and throw ridiculous amounts of money around.
-
So no one wants Jagr at $1.8 million to play on Filppula's wing? Isn't Filppula the one with great defensive ability and some offensive skill? I say a 3rd line with Filppula and Jagr would be great. Oh yea, sign Wis and/or Erhoff for D please. I know we have the money...

Tomas Tatar? Jan Mursak? Kindl, Mrazek, Nestrasil.
-
Versteeg at $3.1 million will be traded long before Carter at $5 million long term. He is the face of their Franchise.

I think that hit on Hudler was much more dirty than the one on Horton. New rules today allow for cleaner hits to result in a suspension whenever the NHL feels like it (depending on the victim, and the resulting injury). The game is faster, the players are bigger, the equipment is more dangerous, and the rules are becoming softer.
-
It's a rough game, keep your head up. I wonder what Scott Stevens would have to say about the Rome hit on Horton?
-
I thought I read an article a week or two ago, where Brad said that he didn't want to play in a city where hockey is everything. Maybe he was hinting at Toronto?
-
Meh, small sample size. He has a lot of upside. I havn't seen him play, but I am excited for a chance to see him in GR next year as a pro rookie.
-
Almqvist seems like the Wings' late round euro version of Ryan Ellis.
-
Hudler still performed at a 42 point pace for 82 games. Compare that to Franzen's 58 point pace and it doesn't look so bad when you look at the salaries of $4.9 vs $2.9 mil. Keep in mind, Hudler produced 59 points when he was being paid $0.9 mil. I say keep him with Datsyuk for 82 games next season. Or trade him after 60.
