I'm surprised everyone is already saying the Z,D,H line is the best in the entire league. We aren't even sure if they will be playing together. Or, if they do play together, we don't even know if they will have good chemistry. Only time will tell. Easily the Toronto Maple Leafs. Hands down. If anyone has ever heard a Leaf game telecast with Joe Bowen......... oh my f***in God. That is the single most annoying man in hockey. He yells holy Mackinaw for ANYTHING the Leafs do well. A save, a goal, a big hit, blah blah. He has the most annoying cackle of a laugh and he knows f*** all about the game if it isn't about the Leafs. Also the Leaf fans are the most annoying fans. Their team hasn't won a Cup in over 40 years and they still cant stop talkin about how the Leafs are the greatest team in the league, the greatest franchise in the league blah blah. They are the most arrogant and ignorant fans I have ever met. I could go on and on. They have the worst team, ownership, fans, announcers, etc. From top to bottom they are the most annoying everything.

I compare debates like these, to when friends have babies. They always ask "Do you think he looks more like the mother or father??" It is a pointless question. That way, we will not only lose Kyle Quincey this year, but Jonathan Ericsson and others in the next few years, due to Chelios "earning" his place on defence. Because Chelios is so valuable as a mentor while he is playing. He gets to talk to the player beside him in between shifts. Watching the play and waiting for a change. Thats way better than having him BEHIND the bench, watching the ENTIRE game. Being able to talk to every single player as the game progresses. STILL being a locker room presence, STILL being a mentor during practice, STILL being a veteren leader. Who needs to give their young players icetime? I would be crying at the skeleton list of free agent goalies. So I'd be forced to keep Budaj and Raycroft. The cap I would be left with would be $47.401M, giving me plenty of wiggle room at the deadline. Ever since Barret Jackman stole the Calder Trophy away from Zetterberg, I have been bitter towards the whole thing. Lol. Then I was hoping that Grigorenko would storm the league and take the trophy, but then he turned into a complete flop right from training camp. But if I had to bet money on it, I would go for Stamkos. Who knows, maybe McCollum could take it in a few years.

Fedorov actually isn't a point per game player in his career. He has 1196 GP with 1146 PTS. His last season at that mark was 02 - 03, and even that was the first time since 95 - 96. His career has been in a downward spiral for a long time. Put the top three together. I want them to be the most dominant line in the entire NHL. Having a 2nd line of Franzen - Filppula - Holmstrom is nothing to cry about.

I say the same. He will hit it between 70 and 75 games.

Really? You would take Gerber straight up?? Thomas? Backstrom is a question mark. Even Fleury I would hesitate. Ozzie does have 2 Cups as a starter and a 3rd as backup, there is a s***load of experience there. And Fleury seems to lose when it matters most. International play, Stanley Cup. So he would have to win before I would make that trade. But yeah, the others, I would trade straight up as well.

Lol of course Sammy is trash. He was put on this team to do one thing, score goals. He sucked ass at doing that. Downey and McCarty know their roles. They are out there to be physical, protect the stars, keep the other team's tough guys in check and occasionally chip in offensively. Downey did that to perfection, and, our stars had more room to move and do what they do best. Next season, if McCarty gets signed, he will do the same. Lets not forget, in his career, McCarty has scored 12, 13, 14, 15, 15 and 19 goals. While never playing more than 73 games in any season. Samuelsson, in the "prime" of his career, playing 15+ minutes a game, plus PP time, plus playing on the best team in the league, could only manage 11 goals in the regular season and 5 during the playoffs. 3 of which were in the Finals, so technically, he only scored 2 goals in his first 16 playoff games this year. what a sniper he is.

Thats why I am surprised that Holland didn't try to trade for picks in this years draft. It was so heavily stacked with stud defencemen. Our best Dmen in the system right now are: 1. Jonathan Ericsson 2. Jakub Kindl 3. Brendan Smith 4. Kyle Quincey 5. Logan Pyett 6. Sergei Kolosov It would have been nice to add a "Luke Schenn" or "Drew Doughty" to that list.

It's not just "take Flip out and insert Mac and Downey now the team is better." Detroit signed a pretty good free agent this summer......what was his name?........ oh man........ I heard a lot of teams were after him............ House.......... Hoose..... Oh Hossa. Marian freakin Hossa! Adding HIM makes our team better. Having Cleary (20+ gaol scorer), Franzen (30 goal scorer next year) and Hossa (40+ goal scorer next year) is a pretty damn good 2nd line. Downey only had 10 fights in his 56 games this year. Thats hardly considered "watching hockey fight videos" Mac and Downey are smart fighters, they don't skate around the rink looking for a fight. They react to teammates getting abused. And McCarty played in 17 games during the playoffs, including a 4 - 0 win in game one of the finals. So to say he conrtibuted little is off. Just wait and see man. If neither Mac or Downey play, you will see teams realize they can have their way with us again. The history I was talking about is that Detroit won all their Cups with at least one enforcer in the lineup. When we didn't have one, we didn't even come close to the Cup. And with Drake retiring, who is going to protect our stars? If you think he deserves kudos cause he scored 3 of those in the finals, then you must be Ken Holland in disguise. Cause I would have traded his ass at the deadline in a heartbeat. I'm sorry, but 4.4% and 6.3% shooting percentages just don't cut it for a guy that plays 2nd line minutes and plays 2nd line PP time.
