Looking at it like this, I guess picking up Williams isnt SOOO bad. Its just that I would have rather got someone else. Anyway, to answer the question... I guess im going to go with Williams at 1.5. While this could change half way through the season... I really got tired of Sammy's logo hunting. It always seemed like he would shoot when he should pass, and pass when he should shoot. Either way though, these two players are never going to make or break the wings.

I have been coming to LGW for a long time (way longer then I have been a member here). So I have seen some pretty bad posts....but this one might take the cake. I agree with this 100%. I hope he takes over after Kenny is gone. However, even if he did become the GM of the Hawks... We all know his heart really would always be with Detroit. Steve will always be a Red Wing and will always be my #1 roll model for hockey and life in general. No matter what he decides to do.

I wouldnt mind him at all on our team. Sure, he isnt perfect... but he can put the puck in the net. I also agree that it would be fun watching him with Dats.

I gotta go with: 1. Hudler - Scored a lot of goals for us. And as another poster said...that smile is priceless! 2. Sammy - omg did I ever hate this guy. But...now that he is gone, I really think im gong to miss all of those shots into the goalies chest... 3. Conklin - Amazing back up. I hope Howard can do as well... 4. Cheli - While I do think its time for him to hang them up. He has played for our team for a long time now. Could teach the young kids some stuff. Loved the guys personality as well.

I hope homer is able to play at a competitive level for another couple years. Its going to be so strange to see our PP without the big man in front of the net... This whole off season has been us talking about losing one guy after another... Cant take it anymore

Its going to be a very very sad day when it finally happens... I just hope its not going to be for a few more years. Just wont be the same without him.

Only player on the Avs that I ever liked. Had nothing but total respect for the guy, even during the days when the Wings and Avs were bitter rivals. It was great for the game of hockey seeing Sakics Avs against Yzermans Wings. I dont think it was possible to dislike either of those two players no matter what team you liked. Ill miss the guy. Congrats on a amazing career Joe!

While im not the biggest fan of Hudler, I would be pretty sad to see him go. He played well most of the time. I guess I just feel we have lost A LOT of players this past week... Even if half of them didnt matter much.

I have mixed feelings about this. While Im happy I dont have to see Sammy miss the net anymore, shoot it right into the goalies chest or make a big mistake on the PP.... Im going to miss him. He screwed up............... a lot... But he also made some pretty big plays in his time with the wings. I think im also sad that we have now lost 5 players from last years team in such a short period of time. But on the other hand, im excited to see Helm and Leino playing on the Wings full time next year. I also wonder which players will become LGW's new whipping boys. Any guesses? Class move by Sharp. The Hawks are also moving up on my like list. Its pretty tough to not like them. They have a lot of young talent and heart. ...Just wish we didnt have to play them so much.

That is exactly how I feel too. While im happy I wont have to deal with his 34875387 shots right to the goalies chest next year, Im also...going to miss that for some strange reason. Hmmm....well I think Stuart is half way there already.

I think the Caps have the best chance of coming out of the East next season, the Bruins having the 2nd best shot. However I feel the Hawks still need another year or two. But they will be there soon enough. They got amazing young talent.

Cheli, you were amazing and will really be missed! I hope you continue to play in the NHL for as long as you like. Then when its time to call it quits, please come back to DET to help out. Im SURE we have many things that Cheli could do to help the Wings keep getting better. On another note, has anyone ever been to his bar?

In the East: Leafs, Caps and Panthers In the West: Wild, and as of late I have had a little thing for the Sharks. I guess I feel bad that they have had such a great team the past few years but cant get it done in the playoffs. So I guess im pulling for them a bit. On top of those I guess I like all of the Original 6 teams. I like old time hockey I guess.

While I love being a fan of a team that plays such clean hockey, maybe one or two "dirty" players wouldnt hurt... Hey, if the NHL lets you get away with it, why not?

If they have to chose someone from the Pens... Malkin > Crosby I lost some respect for Malkin after this series too, but cant argue his hockey skills.

I dont think that Cindy didnt shake Nicks hand on purpose. As others have said, it was his first cup and he was very excited. While I hate the guy, you should be able to understand how excited he was to have won his first cup. However, with that said... He is the captain of his hockey team and he SHOULD have noticed all his other teammates were lining up to shake hands. He should have been at the start of the line. While I think it was a honest mistake. Its not a mistake the "face of the NHL" should make. Oh and Nick SHOULDNT HAVE TO WAIT, to shake hands with the captain of the other team. So for the Pens fans to say he didnt wait long enough... Wow thats just crap. Nothing else to say to that.

Thanks for your support! It seems like a lot of Ranger fans have wished us well this past week or so. Guess there is a pretty popular dislike for the Pens from fans of other teams around the NHL. Good to know it isnt just us. Good luck to you guys in the up coming year. Im also from NY so I get to watch a lot of Ranger games, so im rooting for you guys in the East.
