Thanks, Well I was hoping to only have to spend $8/mth for the sports package since Center Ice has raised their prices again & it looks like most games will be blacked out, but... it is for a good cause.

How many games (% is fine) are "normally" shown on this channel? I'm not local to Detroit so that type of blackout will not apply. DTV is offering me a package deal for a bunch of sports channels for about $8 and this is one of the channels included, so.... Before I drop the normal $$ on Center Ice any input would be greatly appreciated. I just got back from Afghanistan and missed all of last season so I'm willing to pay to watch the Red Wings. Thanks in advance

same here. I've had it for the past 9-10 years minus the ones I was deployed. And like someone else said you can make 4 payments and you get the first two rounds of playoffs. Sometimes you'll even get the same game from both cities so you can pick the one without the homers. Plus with the DVR/Tevo?whatever it's called now you can record the game and still spend quality time with the family and watch the game later. Just have to avoid the media till you can watch it.
