This news pisses me off. He goes to a team right up against the cap, allegedly, and we have money to spend and need a second line center. And now there is talk of RE-SIGNING CLEARY? FOR 3 MIL A YEAR? FOR THREE YEARS? It feels like April Fools Day, I swear. -
His off season signings. Gustavsson, Sammy, Cola, and Tootoo.

Shoulda traded that pick. Like I always say, I will trade picks for proven NHL talent every day. If 1 or 2 out of 10 picks make it to the NHL, it's a good draft.

I hope Kenny makes up for his huge gaffes last year. Every one of the players he signed was a a bust or had no noticable impact.

I'm not giving up on this until it's announced where he is going. I've gotta believe Kenny will see the light. For everyone who is saying 33-34 is too old, let's remember that Pavel is 34 and just signed an extension everyone applauded. and Zetterberg is almost 33 and making 7 million. -
If they draft Jagr, they wouldnt have needed to trade for Shanahan.

Let's go way back and fix the draft where Primeau was taken #3 overall instead of Jagr because the Wings had so much trouble with Petr Klima that "I'm not drafting any more Czech guys".

I don't want him on this team anymore. Not a condition of term, or how much per year, I just don't. I want this team to get tougher and hungrier, and Flip's style of play, to me, does not equate to these things. Go do that thing you do somewhere else. -

I love how people say no to a 21 year old who's been buried on the third line in Boston but put up numbers nonetheless, yet the guys on our team who are on the PP and second and first line who don't put up equal numbers are "inconsistent" but find some way to defend them. -

I think HE thinks the Pens thought Paul Martin was the best D on their team and maybe he just wants out of the Burgh. I read a statement from him regarding this and it sounded like he thought that was a bit of a slap in the face.

Gretzky was as great as his stats say he was. The guy got assists from the bench, was a threat every time he stepped over the boards, made players around him better, and usually far more than a PPG player. The years in the mid / late 80's when the Wings played Edmonton in the playoffs was like David and Goliath. He was very very good. That's why they have that nickname for him. The Great One.
