The train station would more than likely crumble if moved. Planning a stadium now will possibly produce a new building in 6-7 years. Imagine JLA in 7 more years. Gotta think and plan for the future.

Quite a manifesto. I think with the possibility of making the playoffs, maybe we hold off a few weeks on rebuilding and just enjoy watching the boys play some good hockey. I agree with you, they need to jettison a lot of dead weight and players past their prime, maybe trade a few of those prospects for established NHL talent, but let's enjoy the ride for the moment?

It's great to have Bert back for shootouts in the 3 games we have left with shootouts. Unfortunately, the playoffs don't have shootouts.

He's gotta do better than just choose from free agents. Pry somebody loose that he wants. Like the Brent Burns trade. Holland...:"Hey, I didn't know he was available!" Brendan Morrow didn't cost 10 million dollars. Make a mid-season trade. Do something unexpected when your team shows signs of failure.

It WOULD, but it ISN"T. A good GM fills holes. When he realized Bert, Helm, Sammy, Cola, etc. were pretty much out for the season, and everyone else is having a bad year, you add some scoring to make up for what you're missing or jump start existing scorers. He has not done that. Period.

This team's strength used to be its scoring depth. Not any more. I would say that reflects on the GM.

I say sign him up for as many years as he can play. To me, he is the only player right now worth the price of admission. a true superstar.

I dont think there is any way you can call Kenny "the best" just by looking at the group he signed this year. He has done well in the past but in the last few years I would not say he has. The team is in danger of falling into rebuilding mode hard if Dats, Howard and Z were not here. I don't consider that a great GM.

I am totally OK with trading him. I don't want him back here. He is a fairly good player but everyone loves to think about Flip's "upside". That's it, you're seeing it. What you see is the fully formed Flip. It's not like he is going to go to another team and start going to the dirty areas to score, shoot first, and show toughness.

Wow. It's shocking that a team full of pluggers, rookies, and bargain basement filler would lack creativity. The few skilled players we on our roster have got to be shaking their heads at times wondering "WTF??"
