Rumor has it the Leafs have become disenchanted with Versteeg and the price is dropping a little every day. He could be had with the right package of players and picks, I think. Another player who is underperforming and getting shuffled around is James Neal in Dallas. This would be a little harder for Kenny but this kid is IMO the kind of winger we should target IF we're looking to trade.

I remember it well. You used to be able to walk up to the box office day of the game and the person would ask you where you wanted to sit. It was tough being a Wings fan "way back then" (without sounding like a Grandpa) but like others have said...it made the first cup SOOO much sweeter. Especially after having seen Stevie struggle so much and go thru all those hard seasons, to finally have it pay off for him was the BEST.

That game was hard to watch. And Hudler has NO CONFIDENCE. Why is he still on the point on the second PP? Him and Val on the ice at the same time means NO SHOTS...lots of passes. Lots of stuff wrong in this game but Quick played great and Howard did not fare as well. -
The one thing I noticed tonight...and usually notice a little each game, but tonight was very noticeable...the Wings were playing a very "perimeter" game. Sat along the boards most of the night, not a lot of players going into the "dirty areas" where those kinds of goals get scored in tight games. On the rush I would like to see them crash the net more, not peel off or curl and look for a pass. Driving to the net at least draws penalties and makes the opposition get back on D.

I came on here to scream about Hudler's defense on the 2 on 1 shorthanded breakaway and couldn't get on. The 2 goals in 8 seconds was BAD.

That list was horrible. How about Tie Domi punching the fan in the penalty box? Those were like the top 10 "slightly peeved" moments. CFL? Really? No John MacEnroe clips? He got ANGRY.

Let's not forget the other new invention this year (maybe it was last year), the ads on the glass for TV viewers. It's coming to the game jersey, just wait and see....they are breaking it in slowly...maybe not the Red Wings at first, some other lame team will do it first, but it will happen.

People are so fed up with commercials and constant advertising that they have to find new ways to hammer their message into our collective brains. That being said, seeing a Red Wing jersey with a Scamway patch is not going to make me reconsider my feelings about that company. I don't like it, it pisses me off, and it needs to stop.

Nice D, Pens. The Penguin announcers were saying how they had 15 minutes left and they just needed to keep it deep and play it out and they would have 2 points...and they give up 4 IN A ROW and the fans are heading to the exits with 3 and a half left and the B's up by 2. Nice.
