The Olympia was their home for many years too. They moved out of the old barn and into the Joe. Always can get with something new. I visit other arenas and marvel at the wide concourses, the glass, the bathrooms, the vending, it's time to move on up, Wings fans. The Joe is a great building but it can certainly be improved. Even if in the new design they keep the seats the same distance from the ice surface, all that stuff, what happens before you get to your seat is ripe for an upgrade.

I have the same Nike jersey, only in red, framed on my wall. I put the Cup patch from 97 on there as well. I purchased mine when he was still playing, I had to choose between Vlad and Nick. I thought Vlad was going to be a career Red Wing and Nick at the time was debating going back to Sweden. So I went with Vlad. Little did I know the jersey would take on more significance after the Cup win. Great purchase and make it as authentic as possible. Vlad never wore the VM&SK patch that I know of, unless the jersey he wore when they gave him the Cup had it on there. I looked at pictures to confirm but none show it. Just remember what shoulder it goes on, the one where the "A" would not be. (right)

I don't think he will get suspended because the player he hit wasn't injured. I think that was a factor in the Ovechkin suspension.

I was going to start a thread on this when it happened but I couldnt find the "start new thread" button! I was so happy that the Devils lost. Brodeur has now had first round exits the last 3 years, if I remember correctly. They are so boring to watch and killed my fantasy team when they picked up Kovy, and killed his season. F the Devils.
