I hope the day is coming sooner than later where we will just dicuss his hockey merit.

Love the magazine, hate the player.

What has Wayne Primeau ever done that would make someone WANT to trade for him? And he is on the downside of his career, and the players traded are not even at their peak. Something strange about this... Just checked his stats, his career year is a staggering 9 goals and 29 points in 03-04, when he last played a "full season". Check that, he has NEVER played a full season, his highest games played is 71.
-
Chris Gratton should never, ever be mentioned again. That guy has made enough money for doing nothing. His best season EVER was 62 points and that was 11 years ago.
-
Didn't CuJo retire? I think Osgood has the numbers, I think he is worthy, but will not get voted in.
-
Can someone give these guys a copy of the handbook, or were they absent that day?
-
Off topic....just watched the video of Kozlov that Haroldsnepsts posted....nice of Clement to keep calling him "Viktor" Kozlov. He might have responded to Viktor at that point.

I know, it just looked very funny to watch them hold up their jerseys with those numbers one apart. I guess it was a context thing, but the whole thing of them being inseperable kinda hit home for me when I saw the picture.
-
Did anyone else notice that their numbers are 81 and 82? I saw a picture of them holding up their jerseys in the Sunday Free Press and just started laughing.....
-
Wha? ......why? WHY?

NHL asks IIHF, KHL to negate Hudler's KHL Contract

What he said. Ain't gonna be pretty if this goes thru. -
Worst in the league: 1. All Time. VANCOUVER CANUCKS. From the black and yellow skate, to the "V", to the Orca, they have NEVER HAD A GOOD JERSEY OR LOGO. They SUCK. And adding the word "VANCOUVER" to that crap logo does not make it ok. The best of the worst was their original "stick" logo and colors. Just use that. 2. Minnesota Wild. Color scheme is horrible and jerseys are BORING. I collect jerseys and will not buy one of theirs. 3. Tampa Bay Lightning. From the god-awful jerseys to the horrible logo, to adding lighting bolts down the side, and the ridiculous font of the numbers, it's just wrong. All over. Honorable Mention: Colorado Avalanche. The stupid teal and maroon is so 90's (Pistons), the foot on the shoulder, again with the lame font on the numbers, it's just wrong. And you can't make it right by making your alternate jersey say 'COLORADO" on the front like the Rangers. You just can't. Recent Disaster: Dallas Stars. What Happened? They used to look cool. They had the big star on them, looked nice. Then all the alternates. The one with "DALLAS" across the front. The Steer Head. Just stop it. Please. Good Jerseys that should NEVER BE MESSED WITH: 1. Red Wings 2. Hawks Road Jersey (my favorite red) 3. Bruins road jersey 4. Montreal Canadiens 5. Toronto Maple Leafs Notice all the teams with tradition are listed? Pick a logo and stick with it, it will become a classic. Stop chasing trends with jersey design. That is all.

Dammit. I like Ryan Smyth. Red Wing fans would love him if he were a Wing.
-
Why do I see Travis Moen's name in people's line combinations? Have the Wings signed him? People, let's deal with some form of reality, OK?
-
The boards behind the net in Joe Louis are happy because they won't have as many pucks fired into them on power plays anymore. I liked the guy, but, man, did he miss the net a lot. And now they will have to find another pretend tough guy!
-
Seriously? Did they owe the Pens a huge favor or something? Wow.
-
Hossa had 2 BEST CHANCES to win the cup! So many players never even get one!
-
I thought Khabi was under contract....he was a free agent. In that case....wow.

Players who have left the red wings and watched their careers disappea
AtomicPunk replied to Patrick Roy's topic in General
How could we forget Martin LaPointe? Oh, wait...once he left he was easy to forget about. -
They've gotta roll the bones with Huet at this point. Khabi is 36 and they have a young team, time to look to the future, and reduce payroll to afford their new free agent signings!

Damn, I'm good. I wasn't thinking it would happen TODAY, though... http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=283439

Edmonton needs a goalie, don't be surprised if one of those big money goalies gets moved.
-
Kenny is always thinking 2 steps ahead. Let's wait and see what he comes up with.
-
Agreed, they need another finisher. Too many setup guys and not enough guys who bury the biscuit in the basket. Or a really good defensive forward who can let our stars be more offensive-minded. Holland must be expecting a lot of the younger guys and under-performing forwards for next year. I think Cammalerri might be a bit too big of a fish for Kenny to land this year, though. Andropov or Madden or someone of that caliber might be about the best he can do (quality wise).
