Vancouver's uniforms still suck. Why do they keep the "orca" when ORCA doesn't own them anymore? It's horrible, and continues their history of having some of the ugliest jerseys in NHL history.

He can never be a backup. In his mind he is still the Vezina winner. It takes a different mindset than that to be a backup. He didn't like splitting games with Osgood his last time here. I can imagine how much it would bother him to play 25 games and not be a playoff starter.

No denying that "once upon a time", Hasek was the BEST in the NHL. But, that time has passed. AND, I do not like the way he retired, then came back, and forced the Wings to make a tough decision AFTER they signed Cujo to replace him. He retired again after the last Cup run, with MUCH less fanfare. You don't want your retirement announcement on page 5 of the sports section as an afterthought when you were one of the best to ever play the game. He only tarnishes his legend with these antics. That is why I compare him to Favre. The guy just cannot accept that his time has come to ride off into the sunset, and do it with some dignity and class. (See Yzerman, Gretzky, etc.)

Nice job on the road by the Wings. I have to remark that I have watched a lot of playoff hockey, and can't remember when I saw a team as lifeless and consigned to their fate as the Blue Jackets looked tonight. Maybe they are saving it for Game 4, but the Wings did a great job of shutting them down and shutting the Columbus fans up all night.
