Holland was on with Ken and Mickey during the first Chicago game, and they were talking about the youngsters, and he said Howard was out of time with the farm club and they would have to bring him up. So I picture Conks gone while Osgood (who is still under a cheap contract) and Howard are between the pipes. Drop McCarty off the payroll and Cheli, and there is a few mill to be had. I still think someone will get traded, though.

I think as a society, recently, there has been a trend to make the new thing "the best ever". Nice move but as others said, its not like he roofed it and beat Budaj clean. It went off his pad, up, then down behind him. He was probably shooting 5 hole and got the lucky bounce.

Personally, I thought Mule's Bobby Orr goal a few games ago was better than most of those.

Not dirty at ALL. Rob Blake made a career out of these. The fight was lame, you put a clean hit on a guy and then you have to stand up for it? BS. Not to mention it sent Crosby to the bench for 5 or more. Nice. Way to help your team, Sid. Real tough. Sid could have broken his hand, and how nice that would be for the playoff run.

I have a few but this one was special and unexpected. I was working in an office building in Bloomfield Hills in 1991. I needed to get some money out of the ATM, so I was waiting. And waiting. For this guy to finish with it. I was like "Jesus, is this guy refinancing his house or something?" He finally finished and turned around and it was Bob Probert. He and I were alone in this vestibule and I was so glad I didn't say something out loud. I did the "hey, you're Bob Probert!" thing and he said yeah, and I told him I was a big fan, blah blah blah, we talked for about 10 minutes then he asked me if I wanted to see his new motorcycle, I said, SURE! So we walked outside and there was this new bike, we looked it over for a few minutes and talked a little more and shook my hand and he took off. I was like......wow. What a great guy.

I DID fall asleep watching this one...and I am glad I did. Reading the posts here was like a condensed version of the game. I want to see Babs' interview though. I want to see him try and light a fire under a team that has played without much of it for 70 something games so far. It'll be tough.
