Why does every F'ing thread on here turn into an enforcer thread? There, I said it. Especially when the Captain of the Detroit Red Wings just said in the interview on TV that THEY DIDN'T NEED ONE. The Red Wing philosophy is to "punish them with the power play". Period. (Oh, wait, that's right, he's LYING....toeing the company line...I forgot)

What makes anyone here think any of the goalies in the minors is the goalie of the future? Ozzie is the only one who made it in the last 18 years (from another thread). Howard will never be ready. Sorry.

I think it will be .....lame. And in that "crazy" HOCKEYTOWN font with the broken letters. That is SO 1997. (at least.) And it will be accompanied by a song and video produced by the same crew that did the last 10-12 of them. I will never forgive them for I Want Stanley.

Nothing against Mack Attack, but I think his Maple Leaf bias MIGHT be coloring his view of the events. And rightfully so. Just sayin'....if it was a Wing player, there are a lot of people here who would have been screaming for Hossa's head on a stick. Myself, I saw it live and while horrific, I thought it was not intentional.

They have just not been the same team since Kane had that high ankle sprain, and then the Wings kicked their asses in the WC. Maybe they are already coasting. Enjoy those 2 playoff games, Chicago!

Remember that Clemmenson played in a tight defensive system in Jersey. Lord only knows what he would look like with this turnover-prone defense we have right now.

The frustrating thing to me is that they get up on them 4-1 and can't step on their neck and choke them out. How many leads last year were you worried about at 4-1? I was not worried about THIS lead until I saw it quickly go away. Frustrating because you know they can do better. Good of them to come back and tie it up and get a point, but I would have loved to see a more boring win. Great game by #5.

Not to be a dick, but the others did it in the Montreal Forum, while Brodeur will do it in the new building. LOVED the old Montreal Forum, which is the only reason why I would point that out. Very happy to see Marty break ANY of Roy's records. I can't stand Patty.

It really doesn't matter who starts, if the defense keeps turning the puck over like they are currently, either one will get shelled and Wings will have a quick exit.
