Good to see he has moved on emotionally and gotten over it. Sounds like his (former girlfriend) is having the last laugh tonight. What a tool.

The worst third jersey of all time is the Kings 95-96 one with King Vitamin on it, (I can't believe Gretz had to wear this hideous thing...) http://mattgunn.files.wordpress.com/2007/0...inthirdjers.jpg followed closely by the MIGHTY Ducks third jersey from 95-96. http://www.gamewornjerseys.com/cgi-bin/jer....cgi?sillinger2 And I think "heritage" jerseys from teams that HAVE no heritage (Ducks, Wild, Avs, etc.) are ridiculous and boring. Best third jersey ever was NY Rangers 97-98 jersey. http://www.gamewornjerseys.com/cgi-bin/jer...ey.cgi?richter2 I DO NOT WANT THE WINGS TO HAVE A THIRD JERSEY. Boston makes me ill with their attempts. Just don't.

And as soon as DiPietro gets healthy, he will be riding the pine again. He's not stirring up any goalie controversy there, since DiPietro has a contract that makes him "Goalie For Life".
-
Personally, I think this idea sucks. If you have a guy like Koivu, who is scoring all their goals and is the team leader, give him the "C" and then take it away because of a calendar? That's just flat out stupid.

A game they should have won, and did. Anaheim was tired and ready to be taken advantage of, and they did. Ozzie looked sharp, too. Let's hope he gets a few more starts in a row.
-
So who will get the start versus Anaheim on Monday night?
-
So when is Babcock going to have that chat with Oz? He needs to know he is the man to play well. (In MY Opinion)

Seriously, I am as frustrated as any here about the play of Osgood so far. But... How would your confidence be if you play one night and sit the next? How easy would it be to get into a rhythm, to feel like you're "the man", like he did in the playoffs last year? My thought is he has to play, like 4 games in a row to Conk's one, if we want him to be the Number One and play like one. Playing goal in the NHL has got to mess with your head more than anything else. It might help if the coach wasn't messing with his head as well.
-
So which of the (estimated) 8 or so teams that he milked for contracts that he never deserved do you think will retire his number? Sincerely, Chris Gratton

They DO know this is CLAUDE Lemieux, right, not Mario?
-
I'm not hating on Osgood, by the way. I root for him and want him to be the clear cut #1. But frankly, Conks has been outplaying him lately and I wish Osgood was outplaying Conks. Or...the Wings are playing better in front of Conklin....hmmm...

It's a confidence thing. I would love to feel confident when we have a one goal lead with 2 minutes to go. And lately, I don't.

I cant believe it. (smashes desk in disgust)

Seems it happens more than not. CRAP Vancouver PP

It is getting tougher and tougher for me to defend Ozzie. I know that was a nice goal and not his fault, but I just want him to hold a lead and shut them down.
-
I was just about to say....here is where they get slow in their own zone...couldnt clear it........CRAP

There's our hero!

YAwNNNNN.... Hey, didn't the Red Wings used to have a big line they could count on for puck possession and scoring chances? Who is this #82 guy who keeps coughing up the puck on the Datsyuk / Hossa line? Couldn't we move someone up with some speed and puck control? And is it just me, but does everyone look very s l o w in this game?
-
heeheehee! It's another lesson that not every goalie can play every game, as much as they want to. The Wings are better off in the long run because they have 2 good goalies. Although I wish they would not rotate them every freakin' GAME....

Do you think NASCAR would be popular if it was on some low-level cable channel every weekend? It is on a major network, promoted well, has a REGULAR SCHEDULE, the drivers do all they can to promote it, as the NHL players should do too. The thing is, the NHL needs EXPOSURE. People joke about its lack of popularity because they don't SEE it. They can't be thrown on every once-in-a-while, middle of the night on some third tier channel. It needs to be taken seriously and promoted like an event. Think about what we know about hockey in Canada. Hockey Night in Canada. When is it? Saturday night. What time does it start? 7pm. If ESPN carries hockey, then they will devote Sportscenter time to it, show the highlights, promote the broadcasts, etc. But I would like them to make a Hockey Night like CBC does. (not Saturday). Think about how much time this channel devotes to the damn BCS and other stuff like that. Would it be as popular without it? No. Like it or not, (and I don't) if you're on ESPN, you're golden. If not, then you're competing against them and that is very hard to do.

Just judging from the last few games, has anyone noticed the first line on the power play has been Zetterberg's line? Even when Dat's line did not just come off. The Hossa / Datsyuk line has been getting maybe the last 30-45 seconds of the PP. So I guess that would make the Z line the #1 line?

I think if they can make cars going around in a circle for 4 hours exciting, they can certainly develop some new technology to help people feel more "in the game". The NHL needs to update and refresh the way we see its sport.

I can't get past Jim Hughson doing commentary on one of my old NHL Playstation 2 games. I listen to him and think of that game. Bob Kohl and Harry Neal. Also, John Davidson is a good hockey guy, but my LEAST favorite is Bill Clement. When he ALWAYS calls a game a "Tilt", it just makes me want to throw something at him.

As far as posting something "private" here on the net, I agree, I would feel unconfortable if it were me. BUT...he allowed the photographer access to the house and knew they were doing a story for the paper back home about how an NHL star rolls in the USA. So he gave his consent. It IS out on the web to see if you want to find it. He could have them remove it if it bothered him, I'm sure. And his wife is plenty hot. It's nice to see an athlete that is a family man and not out rolling with....say....Anna Kournikova.
