Is this serious? What difference does it make if they made a verbal agreement to extend him braking it does not hurt us. He sucked last season which is putting it nicely, he does not deserve to be extended or be in the NHL with the way he is playing. Im sure his main concern was the money, which can be solved by giving him another job, but I honestly don't care if they do.

While I do think he's a good player with potential that quote says he's emotional, quite frankly his brother was never good enough to make the team. He'll need to grow up soon or will have his feelings hurt too often in the nhl

I like blashill lets not forget he failed as an assistant. Trust me that does not preclude any coaching ability. He could be a guy who thrives as a head coach not an assistant like the inverse of Adam oates

While specific cases can prove or disprove the benefit of free agency, I was speaking to the general sense of FA. I would love to have parise or suter. My problem with holland is his bs of liking the team, injury trade deadline acquisitions, signing vets. Also Concerning free agency you almost have to overpay what team in this league doesn't have an overpaid player? I don't understand the tendency to abstain from free agency because you might over pay considering a large number of players are and will be overpaid on every team

Yes please! We need a tough "****** bag" on this team. Hockey embraces these guys and we need to as well, I really do not understand this notion of class and respect, it's never been in hockey and will not be in hockey. It's way to tough and physical a sport. Sign me up for the mcgratton jersey!!
