Ive never been a fan of Holland, and this solidifies my stance. You need to step up and take some sort of chance or risk with contracts whether its overpayment or not, this team had a clear hole and he didnt fix it

Howard is just not in the realm of top goaltenders, he lets in too many softies. Unbelievable goals by nashville, complete breakdowns by defenseman and goaltender alike. Our better defensemen just did not show up tonight. Ericsson and Quincey formed a solid pair the other two were just not good.

I dont want to see a fight after every clean hit or most of them, but if your star player gets crushed, or a guy just returning from injury, I dont mind seeing it. Fighting after a clean hit should be limited to a few situations, not every single time it occurs. If you see one of your teammates get hit cleanly and injured youd have a hard time finding many hockey players who wouldnt try to rough up the opponent or drop the gloves.

Good job to bert even if he really shouldnt be the guy to answer the bell here. I wish Ericsson would grow into mor a fighting role, where he could really take on the crease crashers and answer the bell. Enough complaining, good job bert!

boy what a game, wish they werent on the same day and time as the wings so far, what an absolutely sick save by Bryzgalov, hes played really well so far, while the numbers may not show it, he been great when the flyers were down. Hes also been great on the pk. The penguins have had a few chances to really bust the game open and he slammed the door. On a side note, how bad is the penguins defense? Fluery is left out to dry, it seems every chance they give up is a really really good scoring chance.

i wish we could just add a guy like Chris Neil or George Parros to our team for next year, someone who could have made weber pay. Anyway, Id like to throw some love Bert's way Im glad he tried to do something about it, would have liked to see some more pain inflicted, but this at least shows the wings have some balls. There are some guys who can fight, but you would actually be able to get at and handle Weber, I think Callahan is a too small for the task. I think Ericsson may be the one best suited to take on Weber.

Agreed, it definitely looked like most of the wings had their backs turned and did not see it. However, I would love to Ericsson or Bertuzzi challenge him tonight, I know its a pipe dream but it certainly make me feel better exacting some revenge. A time like this would be ideal to have someone like Dmac or Downey to insert into the lineup.

Youre right Chelios would do alot worse. He would much rather skate and throw a nice elbow into the side of a guys head. as well as foote. Guy could deliver some devastating cross checks. Shane DOan plays on the edge and plays rally ******* hard, Chara is the same way. Lecavalier has been know to walk the line as well. My point is this, I know it seems hard to believe while watching the wings, but there are a good aount of players that would do this or something like it.

Ugh that quote from Babcock is embarrassing. Hes admitting it can be open season on the wings without any sort of retribution. We really do need a mean tough fighter. While Quincey, Ericsson, Abdelkader can fight, none are really mean players or have much snarl. Guys like Mcgrattan, Parros, Prust, Neil come into scrums or fight with a purpose. They want to hurt and push around the other guys, on the wings it is more perfunctory, none of them really want to get in there and issue a cross check or face wash.

Zetterberg is ok so im over it. However I want to chime in about everyone complaining about how dirty he is, what an idiot he is, disgrace to capitancy blah blah blah. You guys do relize this is hockey right? Almost every captain in this league has a little dirtiness and snarl to them except for ours. I would welcome Weber to our team with open arms, maybe a few players would be more esitant to snow shower Jimmy or run roughshod down low.

I would love to see Emmerton sit. Sheahan would be my number one choice to replace him. I dont know why Emmerton has remained in the lineup. He doesnt play center very well.

Abdelkader is not the worst guy in the lineup. Hes one of the few wings who will stand up for himself and teammates. If anyone is completely useless its that softie Emmerton who brings nothing to the table.

I disagree as does the league, the league has consistently valued post season, regular season, and pre season games differently. I believe they used a 2 to 1 regular season to post season ratio for a suspension that was issued at the end of the season.

Im thinking the rangers take this, possibly pretty easily in 5 games

The Stars were way too top heavy most of their production came from 5 guys, eventually theyll wear down and have off games. The stars need more scoring depth and a better D core, but theyre a decent team make no mistake, I think alot of people wrote them off after losing Richards, but they showed some promise this season.

Go Big E! I would like to see him scrap more, but with his increased ice time and role I wouldnt want him fighting too much

This is not fully true, the problem with the devils is how expensive their lower seats are as well as how much there is for those people to do there. Most of the game I go to, the upper levels are pretty well filled. Attendance is up again for them this year i believe. I think the tv makes it look worse than it really is. By no means is their attendance great, but there is a fan base here.

Another key game LGW!! After watching a decent amount of devils games this season, their PK is very very dangerous could make the wings look really stupid tonight, especially if god forbid kindl is still on it
