Ive played roller hockey for about 13 years now and ice for alot less. I dont think there is anyway to imitate ice hockey on wheels, the stopping is very different. in roller you trun into the stop and slide a bit where ice is a bit more of a "hard" stop. They also use completely different muscles of the legs. WHen i havent played either oen for an extended period of time you definitely feel it. Ive had good success with the hi-lo chasis from bauer and mission. It give you a bit of lean, however I would strongly suggest you steer clear of Tour skates, the have a chasis where all the wheels are equal and it takes alot of getting used to. Either way if youre paying outside you cant go wrong with a cheap pair of bauers or missions, theyve kind of become the industry standard at this point.

i say replace holmstrom with mursak/conner that line would look alot better with a healthy eaves

Agreed, whenever I look at his height and weight i cant believe, guy get pushed off the puck and knocked to the ice like hes 12. If the blues should get on anyone on the forecheck kindl is your best bet I actually think Ericsson is decent at it, his worst mistakes are when hell just eat the puck or take the hit nd get it out, he usually doesnt turn it over as much this year

Sometimes it seems the Red Wings are the only team where you dont have to keep your spot in the top 6 with good play. There are always guys that will be no matter how much effort they put forth. As I hockey player this idea truly bothers me, its awful to see teammates float and you bust your ass constantly and not get rewarded while they do. Nyquist should not be on the fourth line, he has no place there.

When you look at the bottom 6 right now what the hell is there to hang your hat on? What does Mursak and Emmerton offer at this point? I dont think either offers much. Neither play any sort of physical or hard fore checking game. Add Holmstrom and you have a really blah 4th line. I think an opportunity to add to it was lost at the deadline, but can always be remedied in the offseason. I want a 4th line to excel at something, whether its hitting or fore checking or fighting, just do something above average. I think size is really needed on the fourth line. Fourth lines aren't meant to try and skate around guys and make fancy moves. THeyre meant to throw the puck deep and use their body to get it back and wear the other teams defense down.

From what I heard I though Tortorella was more complaining about the Devils lineup card. Ive heard that Boulton was not on it when Torts saw it, and made his but it was later modified to include Boulton.

I would be against reuniting that line, I think Homer's career is simply over. Hes been a great wing, but this year was just one too many. I would rather see one of the younger guys given more top line minutes than Holmstrom who isnt going to get better.

that was simply an awesome start to the game, love watching devils v rangers games. Certainly a good rivalry
