I think it was a clean hit. Letang put himself in a terrible position at the last minute, at that speed its hard to change course at the last minute.

I hope he can produce seasons like this for the next couple of years. Has been a pleasure watching him become the player envisioned this year.

While this type player is always in demand, I think there are more than enough for us to grab one. There are plenty of tougher guys who offer face offs, hitting, penalty kill, hitting, and of course fighting while producing enough points.

I along with many Lightning fans don't see this as a good trade. Downie is a young gritty forward capable of scoring 15-20 (very well could be more) goals a season, providing hitting and toughness. I would have loved to ee him on the wings, anyway I would much prefer to have Downie than a late first round pick.

While his cap hit isnt great, he does add grit and heart which at times this team seriously lacks he also is imo a versatile player, and can move up in the lineup for a short period of time, however i would be willing to move him if we got some bigger more physical players in his place that bring the same grit and toughness. HEs certainly not causing a problem for this team

I certainly like having an opposing voice, sometimes with too many on one side we can lose our objectiveness and simply agree with each other because were homers, so I applaud you for being part of this board. Either way i think Stewart deserved the extra two, maybe not the instigator ( taking him out for ten) but would have been fine with him getting two for roughing since he initiated the altercation after a clean hit, either way i dont think stewart was too off base, good for him for standing up for his teammate. As far as the Helm hit, i dont think he deserved a penalty, I didnt see anything wrong with the hit. I think thats just good hard nosed hockey. IMO I really think Carlo cost his team there more than anything, and would be more annoyed by that than the missed call. Even if the refs miss calls (which they do) why give them a really easy way to call one on you? Either way, I like the blues, their style of play, and have always been a fan of John Davidson, look forward to having more competitive battles with the Blues.

I saw the replay was somewhat distracted, but looked dirty with the look i got (wasnt very clear had it streamed and wasnt paying much attention) Hemsky normally isnt that type guy, but unfortunate that Burns didnt return, never want to see someone get injured would like to see a replay

This, the wings need another crease clearer, as well as a forward or two who can really crash and bang and use his size to his advantage and crash the other teams net and muck it up down there (matt martin, Konopka, chris neil, kyle clifford there are plenty more)
