I am hoping the wings play the Flyers,Rangers or Devils, and then I can get to a game.

Watching alot of Devils games Id say Clemmensen is ok. I do not think he would be an upgrade. If you watch him he lloks really awkward playing the position and almost never makes a rebound save. The devils tightened up and allowed one shot and then cleared the rebound. In my opinon he is just not that good. He gets beat by bad shots as well. He would get lit up on our penalty kill

Downey v Janssen what im not in the possible fights thread? Anyway I am very happy to see Downey up along with Ericcson. However, I am not oevr thrilled to see Helm and Leino sent down, wish it was two other players I wont mention, but due to cap and contract logistics cant be sent down, so lets not go there. No question Leino played well and Helm played pretty well. I think Leino will offer us some flexibility when it comes to contract negotiations this offseason which will be invaluable. The wings have alot of players I like and hate see get sent down but it is what it is. I just wish we had room for a tougher fourth line

Zach has a nose for the net and is always willing to do whatever it takes to score. He is not as strong on the puck as Datsyuk and not as good a passer. I wouldnt say he is as good as them yet but he works extremely hard

After watching the Rangers alot this season I dont know how much Renney can be blamed. The team just isnt that good. Henrik is great but thats about it. They have no offensive firepower, and their D men are ok. Redden sucks and was a bad signing. I am not sure if this is a playoff team. Theyll have a chance with Miler out an extended period of time but I think this team needs a good trade deadline player to have a chance

Personally I love the emotion and excitement, one of the reasons he is so popular.

Hopefuly he throws a big hit to get himself and the D back on track

Its because hes sending the message hes not gonna be pushed around. Wether he decides to fight is another issue. I agree that an enforcer is a minor issue, however team toughness is not. Do the wings have the same team toughness as last year? IMO no.

LOL LOL I am pretty sure Hudler recieved a message when he had his face slammed into the boards form behind then had steve sullivan get in his face after the play. Lidstrom certainly got the message from Lappy last year. Hossa clearly got the message and decided to send out his own. Your statement is moronic they are human beings not robots. There are definetly some guys on the current team that could fight or toughen up a bit as mentioned by other posters. However I would rather see them bring in a Neil/WInchester type (who has an incredible wrist shot.) and hope he has some influence on the team similar to Downey Drake last year

Flipped the game on inbetween classes. Penguins have nothing this year. They just dont seem to have the same kick they had last year. They have looked pathetic against the devils this year.

I saw an article that compared all the nba teams to the nhl teams in each city that had both of them. If I remember correctly the Pistons had better attendence and tv ratings than the wings.

Hopefully this leads to more Downey in the lineup

I get tired of all the anti fighting that sometimes comes from writers who don't know much hockey. Either way its a part of the game that I hope is here to stay

Big time Downey fan here. Very Happy to see him up. The wings rarely have turnover in their lineups like many other teams that I watch. These callups wil be a nice change of pace. I am also excited to see how Leino does. Leino should only be used on the third line or higher otherwise, there is no point to this "evaluation. None the less Im glad some hockey is back and excited to see some different wings. Downey v Ott please

I would like to see Downey and Helm called up along with Ericcson on the back end if Stuart is out for a while. Bring something to the fourth line.
