Why do people keep saying this? We have no idea if Hudler will ever come back to the NHL, let alone the Red Wings, and if he does, how he will perform when that time comes. For all we know, playing in a lesser league could severely hinder his development.

The only reason this organization hasn't "rushed" prospects in the past is because we haven't had to. We've always had a steady flow of players working their way into the lineup who have demonstrated the ability to score goals. At this point in time, those players are non-existant. If Kenny doesn't want to mortgage the future via trade, why not utilize what we have? Give Tatar a few games and see what he can do. If he flourishes, he stays. If he flounders, he gets sent right back to where he was. The players in this lineup clearly can't score enough goals to win hockey games on a regular basis, so where is the harm in bringing up a guy like Tomas?

The guide on my satellite says no such thing, but NHL.com says City is airing the game. I don't know who to believe. Is there a different City TV channel out west or something like that?
