BRING THE NOISE!!!

As much as I hate that fashionista, he's usually pretty reliable for a laugh or two.
-
Just out of curiosity, which bar?

Considering we didn't play any regular season games in September, I wouldn't say anyone on the team is overly deserving of that award. Val must have worked really hard. Congratulations, Flip!

At this point in their careers, Sturm and Recchi aren't exactly game-breakers. If you ask me, they're much more effective when they're designated as secondary scorers, as opposed to being relied on as top-flight players. Tonight was a prime example of just how valuable Savard and Lucic are to the Bruins' squad.

Osgood's strong performances against Calgary and Boston is exactly the type of play the Red Wings will require from him in order to compete this season. With any luck, we'll see a little more of that over his next handful of starts.
-
Notes: + The Red Wings notched their second straight win, improving to 6-4-3 with the victory. + Osgood was fantastic, turning away all 29 shots he faced for his 50th career shutout. + The team's strong penalty kill as of late remained in tact killing all 4 opportunities. + Tomas Holmstrom hit the back of the net again for his team-leading 8th goal. + Defenseman Doug Janik recorded 13:56 of ice-time in his Red Wings debut.

Pascal Leclaire gave me a game-used stick, which he was nice enough to sign for me.

What about the time Rob Niedermayer and some other idiot smashed Homer's face into the glass from behind?
-
Interested to see how Janik does tonight. With the exception of the odd blunder, I thought our team played very well in Calgary, and it showed on the scoreboard. If we can mirror even a little bit of that play tonight, I think we have a very good chance of downing a banged up Bruins squad. LET'S GO WINGS!!

Boston (6-6-1) has underperformed so far this year, which is largely due to key injuries and the departure of Phil Kessel, so now is as good a time as any to catch the Bruins.
-
Not a bad option. He's a relatively big body at 6'1" 203 pounds, and he did score 18 goals in just 61 games in his rookie year. Not to mention, those goals were scored with relatively limited ice-time. He's not a game-breaker, but with the right linemates, he could potentially do a little damage. Interested to see what happens here.

Have fun rooting for a whiny, pre-pubescent little girl.

Fingers crossed.

Todd Bertuzzi wonders why he ever drove away from Motown in the first
The Mule replied to WpgMikos's topic in General
He's playing well, and I'm glad to hear he's having fun, but a little more production would be nice. With that said, I'm convinced he's just snake-bitten for the time being. -
Rules (or in this case, trends) were meant to be broken.

Don't know how much of this game I'll be able to watch, what with it being Halloween and all, but I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for a win. We showed just how dominant we can be at the tail end of last game, and I expect nothing less than 60 minutes of that same drive, energy, and ability.
