Lundqvist wears my favorite mask, but for some reason, they opted to exclude him from the poll, so I went with Cam Ward. Toskala and Quick have nice masks too, though.

The Leafs have more fans strewn throughout the world than any other team in the league.

If you knew anything about the National Hockey League, you'd know that no matter how bad the Leafs record is, they will always remain the most talked about franchise in professional hockey. Naturally, I'm a Wings fan, but being a Canadian, if it can't be the Red Wings, then Toronto it is. What is wrong with you?

Positives: + Abby notched his first goal, while Helm recorded his first point. + Flip and Bert continued their strong play, with both netting a goal. + Willy showed us that he will make for a reliable first shooter in the shootout. + The penalty kill remained perfect for the second straight game.

That's not the case here: 2006-07 Florida Panthers - 2.21 GAA, .931 SV% 2007-08 Florida Panthers - 2.25 GAA, .935 SV% 2008-09 Florida Panthers - 2.71 GAA, .924 SV% Personally, I'd say those are respectable numbers, especially when you consider that he had to play behind a team like the Panthers that were rarely, if ever, considered a contender.

Ridiculous post of the day goes to...

At 28 years old, Anderson isn't all that young, he's just never gotten the respect and appreciation he deserves until this season. With that said, he played very good for the Panthers last season. Here's a little piece regarding his play in Florida: "During the 2007–08 season, Anderson set the NHL records for the most saves in a shutout (53) and most saves in consecutive shutouts (93). During the 2008–09 season, Anderson recorded 15 wins for the Panthers as they battled (but ultimately failed) to qualify for a playoff spot."

Huet must be thanking his lucky stars that Chicago can score goals.

The Avalanche have been playing good hockey as of late, but we took strides in the right direction last game, so I'm hoping for a full, 60-minute effort tonight. Prediction worked well enough last game, so here goes nothing: Wings 6 (Flip x2, Willy, Danny, Hank, and Kronner) Avalanche (Duchene, Wolski, and Svatos) LET'S GO WINGS!!! :siren: EDIT: I think Mayday is supposed to be in the lineup tonight.

Ozzie was fantastic last game.
-
Too bad, but we've already proved we can win without Datsyuk once, so we'll just have to do it again.
-
We certainly weren't perfect, but we managed to grind out a win, and I think we can all agree that at the end of the day, that's really all that matters. Beyond that, I think there were times when we skated like our old selves, and that's definitely encouraging. Positives: + Lids got his 1000th point. Hooray for the greatest Swede ever. + Hank finally notched his first goal of the season and skated well. + Abby managed to pick up his first career point in the regular season. + The chemistry between Leino and Flip was once again on display. + Bertuzzi is skating well and working hard at both ends of the rink. + Once again, Ozzie gave us a chance to win. 2 GA on 26 shots, .923 SV%. LET'S GO WINGS!!

Next to no effort from the boys in red so far. Disappointing.
