For anyone wanting to watch this game, Center Ice is running a free trial right now, so all of the NHL channels should be available, assuming you can find them on your guide. Just a heads up.

If we lose back-to-back games to non-contending teams, I am going to be furious. I'm hoping for a much, much better effort out of our boys in red and white tonight. For once, they had better play up to par.
-
That's game. Poor effort.
-
Come on, boys. We need to bury one soon.
-
No. As a matter of fact, that is an absurd train of thought.

It's no secret the Stars have struggled this year, so I'm hoping the Winged Wheel can beat up on a bottom-feeder while they're down and out. With that said, I don't think this game will be a blowout, but the Wings will prevail all the same. Detroit takes this one 4-1 on goals from Hossa, Cleary, Kronner, and Flip. Modano will pick up the only marker for Dallas, if only to rack up another point for my team in a hockey pool I'm in. EDIT: Just read that Conks will be making his third straight start. Does anyone know why?

Hahahaha. Well said.

I would love to see a legitimate enforcer wearing red and white, but only if said player isn't a liability on the ice. With that said, D-Mac has shown us this year he can still throw them when he has to, so I'm comfortable with him on our team.
-
Wrong. I have seen all kinds of soft hits where the player on the receiving end hits the ice, and I'm sure you have too. When you're on skates, you can lose your balance at the drop of a hat. In short, a hit doesn't have to be hard to send a player flying. However, on the subject at hand, I would say Stuart has been one of the best hitters in the league so far this season, but not necessarily the absolute best. Regardless, what does any of that matter? He's being physical, which is exactly what he's out there to do, and that is all that should matter.

Pascal Dupuis also had a hat trick tonight.
-
The Wings will NEVER sneak into anything under any kind of cover.
-
Great. We can only hope his own emotions spark his play.
-
With the exception of the blatant advertisement, that jersey is gorgeous.
-
Kipper will be in net by the end of the first period.
-
He will tear it up at the Winter Classic. Count it!
-
Unless I'm mistaken, Robert Lazy got two past Kipper last night.

As I said earlier, TSN is my favorite sports network, so I'm amped they're showing another Wings game. With any luck, the Flames will be tired after losing to the Habs last night, so hopefully the Wings can take advantage of their slow legs early and bury a few quick markers. With that said, Detroit takes this one 5-1 on goals from Hossa, Dats, Hank, Mule, and Nick. In other words, the big guns come out to play tonight. Conks will have something to prove, so here's to hoping he plays a solid game in net.

Precisely. If it were that easy to call up the likes of Helm, Leino, Abdelkader, and Ericsson, they would be here already. We have a great roster, but it's a bit unfortunate how little breathing room we have.

Some of the classiest championship rings I've ever seen.

Melrose Hopes Tampa Doesn’t Win Another Game This Year

I hope for the same, as perhaps then they'll realize their franchise is in shambles. -
Roster wise? Yes, more or less. Play wise? No, not at all.
-
He isn't the biggest player on our team, or the most burly, but he's one of the strongest players in the league on his skates, and that's an admirable quality for any player to call their own.

Which player in the NHL would wanna play for detroit the most?
The Mule replied to a topic in General
He's been given nothing but continuous praise from both Babcock and Holland, I'm sure, and I'm fairly certain that both of the aforementioned have made it quite clear to him that, assuming all goes as planned, he will be a Red Wing come next season. -

No idea. Instead, here are ten players I wish were Detroit Red Wings: 1. Milan Lucic 2. Rick Nash 3. Derek Boogaard 4. Henrik Lundqvist 5. Pekka Rinne 6. Brad Boyes 7. Dominic Moore 8. Niklas Hagman 9. Marc Savard 10. Dustin Brown
