Is it just me, or is basketball an insanely boring sport?

There have been some horrible, horrible selections in this thread.

Ozzie was indeed great last night. If it were not for a bad giveaway by Huds, we would've had an extra point.

Considering there's only 82 games in a season, you're right, we won't go 84-0.

It will be interesting at the very least to see what Burke does with the team.

Lackluster effort all together tonight. Not impressed. I expect to see a better effort out of the Wings on Wednesday.

Just checking in mid-game. Not a great effort so far, but not terrible either. Here's to hoping the Wings will come out flying in the third and take control of this game. Also, I'm sure both have already been mentioned, but what a save by Ozzie earlier in the game, and what a terrible, terrible giveaway by Hudler that led to the Canucks goal. I'll check in again after the game. Lets do this, boys.

Great trade for Toronto. I live just outside the city (and with a family of Leafs fans), so I'm very familiar with the Leafs and their roster, and if you ask me, this was an excellent move on Toronto's part. Steen has the potential to be a decent enough player, but this year, he his play has been very underwhelming, and he just hasn't meshed with the revamped Toronto roster. Colaiaccovo, on the other hand, has the potential to be great, but it's no secret he is as injury prone as they come, and he can't seem to get a full season under his built. Stempniak will develop into a very capable forward, and will be an important piece of Toronto's puzzle going forward.

Without Bobby Lu, the Canucks are toast. Wings take this one easily. I'll say 6-1 for the good guys, with goals from Hossa x2, Huds, Zetterberg, Kronner, and Meech.

If the Wings play the way we know they are capable of playing, tomorrow night should be a cakewalk. I'll go on record and predict we win the game 5-1 right now, assuming Luongo doesn't play.

For anyone curious, Conk Block is 6-1-0 so far with a 2.41 GAA and a .918 SV%. Very good numbers for a goalie who is still technically our backup.

How in any way should that be recognized as a jinx? He didn't even play, and thus had no result on the outcome. That's no different than saying Sidney Crosby has a Stanley Cup jinx because his team lost in the one Cup final he's ever been involved in.

I sincerely hope whoever compared Kopecky to Lucic in this thread was being sarcastic. Don't get me wrong, I love Kopy, but get real.

Great game from the boys in red and white. I wasn't able to watch the majority of it, as I was playing in a poker tournament last night (things didn't go so well), but I caught bits and pieces here and there, and it seemed like we put out an impressive enough effort. Nice to see Lebda and Lilja get on the scoreboard and positively influence the outcome. They were both much better than usual (though Lebs has improved slightly lately, and Lilja has been quite good), and for Maltby to net another tally. Also, how about Ty ******* Conklin? Does anyone else feel comfortable as hell knowing Conk Block is going to be between the pipes? Nothing against Ozzie, but Conks has been great, so we should ride the hot hand. Here's to hoping we can rest up and finish this mini road trip with a perfect record.
