Komisarek was looking for a fight with Lucic all night long, and Lucic finally agreed. He was also throwing some dirty checks on Lucic in particular during the same game. In this situation, I think it's perfectly fine that he gloated and roared after laying a beatdown. Not to mention, he's in the front of his home crowd, so why can't the kid have some fun?

Not that a couple more games would even things out, but the Sharks and Rangers have played two and four more games than us respectively.

Lucic is hands down my favorite non-Red Wing in the NHL. Get him. Then, get me the Boogeyman.

Off-topic, but did anyone catch the epic beating Milan Lucic laid on Boynton tonight? I don't care what it takes, when Lucic becomes an RFA, do whatever it takes to bring him to Hockeytown. I would give up almost anything to see this guy dress in red and white.

I'm ready to douse some Flames. I'll be playing in a poker tournament during the game, but there's a couple televisions in the hall that will have this bad boy on so I can keep up to date with the score. In other words, you won't see me around these parts during game time, but I'll be here in spirit. To cut to the chase, Wings win this one 5-1. Conk Block stones the Flames all night long. Goals from Hossa, Zatta, Kopy, Drapes, and Kronner.

If the Wings ever introduce a third jersey, it should be the classic white Detroit sweater with the red stripes. Nothing else.

Neither of these jerseys look appealing to me at all.

I can't speak for the rest of LGW, but how could anyone have possibly made that assumption? The only reason Quincey was ever listed as a defensive d-man when he was with the Red Wings was because we never saw him play any higher than the third pairing.

Hudler has been great, we all know that, but be aware Franzen has played five less games than Jiri, so what exactly is your point? They both deserve their fair share of ice time, but Franzen undoubtedly deserves more.

For starters, Quicney would be playing on the bottom pairing in Detroit if he was a part of the Red Wings' roster. With that said, do you really think he would produce as much with such limited ice time? The fact of the matter is that the Red Wings had 5 given defensemen (though Holland and Babcock obviously thought more) that were deemed more valuable than Quincey. When you have someone who is ready to play, you either let them play, and obviously with that not being an option in Detroit, we opted to ship him elsewhere. Kyle is probably thrilled that he's being given an opportunity to shine, albeit on a very weak team, and I'm sure Holland and Babcock are equally joyous to learn that he's excelling.

We played below par for half of the second too, but we were excellent in the first.

Definitely. On the other hand, we shouldn't have allowed nearly that many shots on goal.
