Sure, Drake brought grit and heart to Detroit, but in no way should his absence drastically affect our team.

When the defense stops collapsing on a regular basis, Ozzie will be fine. As for Conklin, I will admit I would like to see him get the start ever two or three games. He was very impressive in his debut, so why not give him another shot?

I agree to an extent, but you've also got to remember that the players playing ahead of Hudler on the depth chart are proven as productive components. Hudler isn't quite there yet.

I like Hudler, but more often that not, he's a step too slow, and he doesn't protect the puck well. However, we've seen that confidence can go a long way (Franzen), so when he manages to develop consistent confidence in himself and his ability, I think we will see a much more productive side of Jiri.

Well, it was a bit of a sloppy effort, but we managed to battle through and pick up a victory, so I'll keep the complaints to a minimum. However, I think this was a game that we needed. Not only did we manage to put five pucks in the net, but Hossa was able to get his first as a Wing in a very crucial situation. If that doesn't make him feel more comfortable, I don't know what will.
