Canucks fans already planning Stanley Cup parade route
hokike replied to Winger19's topic in General
Obviously this "event", I mean a parade "drawing" seems to be little funny entertainment. Nutting serious. I'm not only one noticing that in this case some Red Wings fans overreact, not the others. Overreacting - in this case trying to make something from irrelevant. -
hey forumites!!! Do you have to be ultratouchy about everything not according to your taste? Last checked, it is not a crime to pick somebody but Red Wings, rrrright???? Doubters have every right to doubt 'til proved otherwise. Thats why they play games.

Round 1: Comparitive Stats for Detroit and Columbus
hokike replied to Drake_Marcus's topic in General
I found only Mason's decreasing stats surprising but other than that, stats reflect very well Red Wings reg season. Thanx, Drake! -
why not? Resign and after a year announce a comeback.... Yeah, I know all it sounds "dirty tricks" but IMO it is not dirtier than "buying championships" during precap era...

I can safely guess that nobody in Red Wings brass expects neither Zetterberg or Franzen to play more that 7-8 yrs at maxinum. during that time both get their full paychecks but at the same time cap hits are considerably lower. Discount comes from the possibility that both players due to retireing leave 4 or 5 years money (not big anymore, but still) on the table: THAT is this much argued discount. Retirement at "appropriate" time may be a sort of gentlemens deal between the organization and players.

Holland knows what every GM knows: 40 goal scorers( reg season) don't grow on trees.Lock him when it is possible . It may be once in a lifetime chance.
-
Neither Zetterberg and Lidström took more than 10%-15% paycut, and I do not see any reason why all those Hossas, Franzens , etc. should take more...

delete plz

It's damn easy to demand from OTHERS to be like a "god". When Barkley talks about "role models" then it should be reminded to him that Barkley himself has acted "questionably" during his career. Mistakes ain't sins, not learning from those are.

forget "player's cap" it would remove one of motivations to play better every day. To soft cap proponents: reality is than in the most important consuming market - USA- is NHL very marginal league and therefore using NBA as an example (salary issues etc) do not work.
-
no, no...bailot includes"buy america" clause and it would mean that Red winds should get rid of all "soft" euros and fill rosters with "hard" americans like um...Downey?
-
take it easy, red wings won yesterday!

If you do not like "what makes sense", you're living very "retarded" life. Couldn't resist, little pun

well, shameful loss but I hope it prompts some fire

from Estonia( near Finnland), heh. Being Wings wan since Federev arrived to this team. vandermeer got 10 minutes for "instigating" but there was no fight... to my undetrstanding was it an example how GMs suggested that zebras should suppress "potential" fights more actively???

flames tred to be tough but wings were too fast for them and penalties were logical result my response was more answer to those who were panicking how "tougher" flames kills wings with a "grit". It is possible if wings were to play according to Flames's rules but Babcock's team do not play as others try to dictate.
-
goon-panickers: this suppose to be tough flames did not anything but tried to catch Wings.

I dunno whu forumites were calling this game "boring" before Z's goal Kipper had to make 5 or 6 "lifsaves"
-
jokinen fumbled a pass and it resulted as a goal. later they showe jokinen on the bench and his mimic said all: I did not do anything it just went in.
-
ain't worried at all... After the last game they interviewed Franzen and Franzed said that thet treat a game with Calgary like a play off game. So Franzen finally said why they play as they play - they "select" teams who are worth of champs attention. Simple. Reason is not "fire assistant coach, lack of grit or poor goalies". The reason is that there are only handful teams whom Red Wings takes seriously.

I dunno to where put it but since various streams are down lately, I think, it may help many: http://www.hockeystreams.com/ You need to open your wallets but quality is solid and you'll get pre and aftergame stuff usually not available in those sopcast-tvu player streams.
