do you know how many times those "tuffie" teams have lost to "soft" teams in POs? (You can bring up ANY data you want for backing up you claims...) Even playing half assed games "soft" Red Wings has already beaten "tough" Ducks, flames, Oilers, et al, and those "tough" teams tried their best. Ain't worried at all. Btw, check stats, RW has outhitted beforementioned trio.

@ Heroes of Hockey thnx for soundig response. It is boring to read how posters constantly claim "there is ONE solution for everything!". Fights really doesnt matter when results really matter - in POs. Hitting may be up but it has nothing to do with fights.

IMO all those "enforser fans" are naive. Why? 1. Hockey is extremely physical game injures happen daily. 2. Do you really think the hockey player is afraid of so called fight especially when most of fights are "bear dances"?Every player would take "fight" over groin or knee injury( see above). 3. Players have said that they do not need fights , it is for fans. 4. Do you think that fights or results of those shake players self esteem? C'mon "fights" may affect teenagers self esteem, but do you really imagine adult hockey players react as teenagers? Same thing with that "statement" issue: it may impress teens but certainly not hockey players in NHL. 4. My point is clear: contrary to popular myth players are not afraid of fights or goons. Opponents absolutely does not care of "Downeys or Macs" or other goons. Mac's or Downey's punches are joke comparably attempts to stop 100mph puck by defenders/goalie. P.S. It is humiliating to handle members of Red Wing as shaky teens who need fights to "prove something". They are adults and I'm 100% sure they absolutely do not care if somebody says something like that: "No goons there what a ***** team."

we're living in cap era. Hossa wants it badly but the the rest are obviously relaxing. Even Hossa caliber player can't create something in lockeroom so...conclusion is obvious. And they do not have a slot in team for new forward anyway. But I'm fully aware that reasonable posts won't keep away usual trade deadline hysteria.

relax. LGW whiners have undeniable ability to complain about the game based on one or two plays. TB had less real chances than Detriot real goals.

I think that common sense tells to them , yeah, we won cup but this is already a new season, but SUBconciously are they still partying. The only way to cure that complacency are big and devastating losses.

I dunno why so many assume that grass is greener on the other side of fence. From where fans take that somwhere in team's bench are better players in waiting?? The fact is that you play with thouse you have and you have to live with that... Give this player a chance, I want to see that guy....Sry but coach sees those guys every day in practice and his work is not to showcase players to whining fans This is a response to those who always demand to see GR guys or demand trades...

whistles went here and there but good teams find a way to win in spite of calls. Those calls were penalties no need to whine here like Pen's coach.

you guys here are overreacting ( as in many cases, btw). They just discuss shotblocking rule in the light of causing injury, that's probably all. Media, as always ,picked it up, added some spice and this forum goes nuts.

holland is not going to make a trade decision based on 7 games in october.

neither neil or bieksa is available, so keep dreaming... I can only imagine how big trade deadline panic will be...no tuffies from trade OMG sky is falling...

when ppl call Sidney a whiner, purpose is to fee l themselves better: see, he's a whiner, he is not actually better person than me. Subconciously ppl compare themselves with stars and that "strenghtens" their complex of inferiority. If you can't rise that high, bring him down. This is obvoius when ppl jump on bashing , mostly not even reading things through. My two cents. First post here, btw.
