Not exactly. Eller projects to be a good top-six forward with good two-way play. Schultz is a power-forward, so his offensive development will determine if he becomes a top-six forward or a third/forth-line grinder.
-
Eller was a 2007 1st round pick...don't know much about Schultz other than he is the younger (shorter) brother of Jeff Schultz.
-
He's an RFA this year. Both he and Price are set to be RFA's, so Montreal had a decision to make.
-
Habs get Lars Eller & Ian Schultz.
-
Remember, he asked for a trade at one point in the season. Plus, he was reportedly pissed off that the Habs took his starting job away as soon as they could in the playoffs when he faltered a little against Washington. Could simply be a case of Halak telling them he wasn't going to sign with them.

Edmonton Journal: Edmonton considering buy-outs of Patrick O'Sullivan (¹/3 buy-out), Robert Nilsson (¹/3 buy-out) and Ethan Moreau (²/3 buy-out) Ottawa Citizen: Senators expected to buy-out final year of Jonathan Cheechoo's $3.5 million per year deal. Montreal Canadiens have said since Georges Laraque was sent home that he would be bought out of the final year of his deal.

No, the former captains wore jerseys from their era.
-
-
Only because 16 of 20 teams made the playoffs.
-
I haven't heard that. Everything I have heard suggests they are keeping the 60s retro jersey.
-
No, never been any indication of that in Toronto. The impression seems to be that his intensity, work ethic and expectations have brought about a level of accountability.
-
Jersey sales bottomed out the last couple years because everybody thought the "practice jersey" they've been using was ugly and there's been a lack of secure names to put on a jersey. Phaneuf jerseys started flying off the shelves as soon as they got him, though.

Komisarek & Beauchemin
-
I doubt they ever will, since it represents the darkest era in franchise era.
-
Definitely will be the maple leaf shoulder patch.
-
Yeah, they won't do that with Campbell because he's played well enough that you don't treat him like that and put him in the NHL when he's clearly an NHL defenceman. But they may waive him just to get him on re-entry waivers. Huet is another story, but he's above playing in the AHL (not by much at times). I really think they'll try to avoid going the AHL route.
-
There's no cap in the AHL. If Huet is waived, he won't count against the cap. But he can't be taken off their cap until the end of training camp. Also, Jonathan Toews gets a $1.3 million bonus for winning the Conn Smythe. Because it wouldn't fit on Chicago's cap from this past season, it carries over to the 2010/11 season.

The Hawks leverage is actually offer sheets. If they're getting lousy offers for their RFA's via trade, they can just let teams know that if they don't ante up in a trade, they'll take the compensation via offer sheet, which could be huge for some guys if a free agent bidding war starts. They'll get decent value for their guys under contract that they have to move, if only for having a lot of teams bidding against each other.
-
They're either going to be trading guys for picks & prospects or getting compensation via offer sheet. They'll lose some good pieces, but they'll keep the farm system strong.

I believe I read that the NBA always plays Finals games on the same nights every year (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday)..

Reports coming out that Ron MacLean jumped in the Delaware River in Philly this afternoon to save a man who was attempting suicide. Details still emerging.
-
Says teams are calling Bruins about the pick, doesn't say the Bruins are listening or interested.

People have better things to do at 5/6pm?

I would think the Vegas numbers are a large number of bars and casinos that would have it on for gambling purposes.
-
But the Canadian numbers are way higher for this series. Seems to me there's more interest across the board in these two teams.
