That's a 5:30pm local time start. That seems.....early. Could be the pre-game show that starts at 8:30pm EDT. EDIT: Sharks site has start time as 6:00pm local/9:00pm EDT

That's a little harsh. Just Erat should be shot. He's the one that decided that putting the puck in front was a good idea.

Isn't their PP 0-for-24 or 0-for-25 in the series?

Whomever that Pred was that tried to center the puck from behind the net should be hogtied to the bench. When you have a PP in the last minute and you're on the PP, you just kill time. Keep the puck in the corner and try to maintain the cycle.

Zdeno Chara took an instigator penalty in the last five minutes of tonight's Sabres/Bruins game, which is an automatic one-game suspension. However, NHL has ruled that Chara was goaded into the fight by Paul Gaustad via a slash and he won't be suspended.

Generally, we're not allowed to in things like this because of the chance of jeopardizing the investigation. Generally just have to go with the info that the police give us when doing a crime story like that. Now, if the couple had a history of domestic violence, that's a different story. But to get the preliminary story out less than 24 hours after it happened, you don't really have time to do in-depth research.

Good move. Gustavsson & Giguere are the duo for next year. Jiggy has one year left, so he's either gone or re-signed at an extremely reduced rate and Rynnas is brought along slowly. By the time Rynnas is NHL-ready, the Leafs should have a pretty good idea what they have in Gustavsson. Can never have too much depth in net.

At least he didn't get the call....Mike Ribeiro did that against the Leafs in October and got the call...and then scored on the ensuing powerplay.

John Shannon of Sportsnet reports that the NHL will have a series of exhibition games this fall with the KHL. Looks like six teams will take part, with two of those teams heading to Russia to play KHL opponents. No word yet on dates or teams involved.
