Simmonds scores, all tied up in B.C.

Bettman is using the Olympics as a bargaining chip in CBA negotiations. If he gives public statements to the effect that he's against going to the Olympics, then he can use that to the NHL's benefit when it comes to the CBA. For example, Bettman agrees to go to the Olympics if the 'PA agrees to some other concession. It's all a big chess match. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if Bettman is very willing to go to the Olympics.

Boston doesn't have the Leafs 2011 2nd rounder.
-
Probably already started. There will be a pre-game ceremony before Game 3 to celebrate the greatness of the riot.
-
Who's gonna take it? I'd say Pens in 5 or 6.
-
No surprises here.. http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/2010/04/12/souray_request/

$3.5? In that area, I would think.

Welcome to Philadelphia.

Personally, I think it'll be interesting to see who gets the Hart Trophy this year. There's no clear-cut winner like there usually is by this point. Candidates: Henrik Sedin - Art Ross Trophy winner Sidney Crosby - Rocket Richard Trophy co-winner Martin Brodeur - Jennings winner, 45 wins, 9 shutouts, 3rd in G.A.A. Ryan Miller - Top five in almost all goaltending categories. Alex Ovechkin - Top five in goals & points, team won President's Trophy Who's it gonna be?

Only if Edmonton wants to take Jeff Finger and Grabovski. Leafs don't really have room for a defenceman, though. Phaneuf, Komisarek, Beauchemin, Schenn, Gunnarsson and Kaberle (on his way out).
-
At $5.4 million for two more seasons, I'd say he's already got the big contract.
-
I'd say Dave Nonis....can't think of any other experienced GM out there that might be available.
-
I tend to believe that Crosby will get a lot of votes in large part because of how poor Malkin's year was (by his standards).
-
I would wager that Maurice Richard probably scored 50 on a goaltender because it was rare for teams to pull their goaltender back then.
-
Leopold scores, so Stamkos & Crosby share the Richard Trophy.
-
Isles tie it up, so Crosby not likely to get empty netter. But might get an extra 5:00 of overtime. 3:40 left.
-
The way it's shaping up, Crosby will get a chance for his own empty-netter.
-
Somewhere, Darryl Sittler is getting nervous.
-
I suspect this one will be pretty short. Jacques Martin will have a hard time playing for a tie against Washington.
-
I know that, but AHL contracts are generally worth $105,000/year and less.
-
Can't be right. Minimum salary is like $475,000 or $500,000 next year.
-
Henrik with four points (so far) tonight puts him at 112 points, three up on Ovechkin. Caps play Boston tomorrow.
-
Just like the Olympics.

I think we can safely award the Art Ross to Henrik Sedin.
