Players always get "up" for games against their ex-teams.

That loss for Denver puts prized NCAA free agent Tyler Bozak on the market. I would imagine he'll be signing with somebody in the next few days.
-
I'll set this up.... Leafs/Caps tied 1-1. Leafs score a powerplay goal with just over two minutes remaining to take a 2-1 lead. Caps pull their goalie, then this happens: Gerber was ejected from the game, Curtis Joseph came in and played like it was 1998. Robbed Ovechkin point-blank twice and stopped him to win the shootout.

If this doesn't work, it's time to pack it in... http://coyotes.nhl.com/smirnoff.htm

There was no goalie more nuts than Ron Hextall, that's for sure.

You can tell how distracted the Montreal media is right now because they haven't even talked about this. They will be soon declaring the Canadiens divine right to sign another Quebecois star player....
-
Reminds me of back during the lockout when a player would speak out and say that the league needed a cap or that a cap wouldn't be a bad thing, only to suddenly change his tune a day or two later.
-
He's never said that, at least not publicly. What Roberto doesn't realize is that all NHL players who have the misfortune of being free agents in 2010 will have to take less, whether they want to or not.
-
Yeah but on that play, CuJo fell down and never intentionally did anything to McGeough.
-
Linesmen have a geographical region which they stay in, but referees move around a lot.
-
Full game highlights, including Gerber ejection and CuJo's performance. They left out CuJo's save on Ovechkin with 10 seconds left in the 3rd. name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="295"></embed></object>&"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="295"></embed></object>&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" />

Contract talks between Wings and Hossa, Franzen on hold

Not allowed under the CBA. -
There's no guarantee that Pogge will be in the NHL next season. He hasn't been very good this year. And besides, they want him with the Marlies for their stretch run before the playoffs

I don't think you can trade $3 million today (esp. a contract that runs through '10/'11) without taking salary back. -
I don't care if there's a puck under me, nowhere near me, accidental, intentional or otherwise....somebody spears me in the twig and giggleberries, I'm not going to be very cheerful, either. Anyways, Leafs have 8 games left...I figure that's what he'll get. CuJo can finish his career as a starter, even though he says he wants to keep playing.
-
Gerber automatically suspended three games; can be extended to up to 10 games upon review by Colin Campbell.
-
He got some help from Laich on the play.
-
CBC if you get Edmonton
-
You're not going to get a top-tier goaltender. There are none available via free agency (the best is probably Martin Biron, and he's kind of a "meh" starter) and I can't see anybody moving their starting goaltender.....unless you want Vesa Toskala

The issue is that if you claim a player off of waivers (standard or re-entry) after the trade deadline, that player can't play for your team until next season.
-
Certainly, just like the old Aud in Buffalo had a smaller surface, and so did the Chicago Stadium. Maple Leaf Gardens was the standard 200x85, though. It had the upper end zones that basically hung over the ice, and the seating right behind the Leafs bench had to be accessed by going through the Leafs bench. I had those seats a couple times, it was awesome.

I can only answer question #2. The team can sign a player who has played in Europe during the current season whenever they want, provided that player is released from his contract in Europe. The NHL team that signed the player is then required to place that player on standard waivers in order to put him on their roster. This is a lot easier to do after the Trade Deadline, because players claimed off of waivers after the deadline cannot play for the team that claimed them for the rest of the season. As for question #1, I can only assume he only does that in the defensive zone, because hand passes are allowed in the defensive zone.
