The belief is that his agent is using Antoine Vermette as an inferior player as a comparable, and Vermette is getting $3 million from Ottawa.

Dominic Moore expected to be shopped by Brian Burke at some point today. Burke said he wouldn't shop Moore until he had given up on trying to re-sign him. Burke was on the radio about 40 minutes ago and said he would make a final attempt to re-sign him later today and would start taking offers if nothing comes of it. Darren Dreger reports that Burke won't go any higher than $1.5-1.7 million per year, while Moore's side is offering what they call a "hometown discount" at just under $3 million per year. There's little chance of compromise, so expect Moore to be moved by Wednesday.
-
Yeah, he said the bare-minimum he would accept was a young NHL roster player, a top prospect and a 1st round pick......he also said he's waiting until Wednesday to make any moves in what is probably an attempt to try and get a last-minute desperation offer from somebody. There was also some talk that if Florida deals Bouwmeester, they would turn around and go after Kaberle, but we'll see.

Boston Herald reports that the Bruins have offered Joe Colborne, 2009 1st round pick & an unspecified 3rd round pick for Tomas Kaberle.

Just saying that Nylander being a bum and Guerin really have no connection. Plus, Nylander has a no-move and a lousy contract, so he's unlikely to go anywhere. Even if Nylander was playing well, they'd still need wingers.
-
Except that Guerin is a winger and Nylander is a center. Anyways, here's the latest on Guerin... http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/2009/03/01/islanders_guerin/
-
He's playing some pretty lousy hockey lately. He hasn't played since the 24th.

Andy Strickland reports that Bill Guerin is a Philadelphia Flyer once the Flyboys can clear some cap space.

TSN: Jamal Mayers requests a trade
-
No, that was thanks to his teammates piling on to him and slamming him into the boards.
-
He didn't. He meant that somebody is going to purposely hurt him sooner or later.
-
Hate Cherry all you want, but he's right. He's going to do that after scoring a 6-0 goal sometime and he'll get "Turgeon'ed"....if ya know what I mean.

I remember the Leafs doing something like this a few years ago. One of the guys who played on a Cup winning team in the 40s had terminal cancer and was in the hospital for good. Anyways, his Stanley Cup ring had been stolen a number of years ago and Pat Quinn found out about it, so they had a replica of the ring from that season made and presented it to him in the hospital, along with the Stanley Cup itself.

Brendan Witt delivers a head shot to Niklas Hagman

Won't happen...the Leafs are softer than a marshmallow.....though there will be a few futureless Marlies (Andre Deveaux) on the Leafs roster by then. -
Not likely. That's far less than what Burke said he was seeking for Kaberle alone. (Young roster player, top prospect, 1st round pick)

Justin.tv was also served with a cease-and-desist order and no longer show NHL games. myp2p.net just links to online streams, they don't actually stream games themselves.

The NHL will just send a mass e-mail back telling you to subscribe to Center Ice Online.

Bob McKenzie: Ducks unlikely to trade Pronger until the summer. They want to wait and see what Niedermayer is going to do, first.
