Just wait until Sundin is re-united with Antropov. (Not saying it will happen, but Sundin's line with Kesler & Demitra is slowing down a bit) -
Wings are definitely after Havelid. I'd expect Atlanta to wait until Wednesday to move him, in an effort to try and get the price a little higher.

If I were you, I'd want to avoid Vancouver.....Bobby Lu can win a series all by himself. Minny is the other one, the trap plus Backstrom can be maddening. -

The cap will drop heading into 2010/11. The question remains is by how much. Some believe it could be a $10-15 million drop.

Yeah, they're looking to get Kaberle or Pronger. Kaberle's cap hit is cheaper ($2 million less per year), but Pronger's deal runs out before cap Armageddon hits in the summer of 2010.

They got a pretty good prospect in Tangradi.

Martin Gerber's on re-entry waivers. There will probably be 4 or 5 claims for him, we'll see if get gets as far as Buffalo.

Oh, I highly doubt they'll deal with each other again, but both will be very active teams up until the deadline. Pens will probably push for the playoffs because I think Shero's job depends on it. Ducks will sell off bit parts here and there and I think they'll try hard to move Pronger. I think Niedermayer will only go if he goes to Duck management and says that he wants to go somewhere else (no NTC, but has a gentlemen's agreement with the Ducks).

No, one or the other. I don't think they can legitimately sell everything off when they're tied for 8th.

Yeah, this season it's close, I said that. But Crosby isn't healthy and has terrible linemates....and he still has more points than Datsyuk.

Crosby is much better offensively than Datsyuk, he just isn't putting up as many points this year because he's not 100% healthy and he's got absolute crap for linemates. Datsyuk is better than Crosby without the puck, but I don't feel that the gap is enough that it makes up for the offensive side of things. Plus, Crosby has a better physical package. I just don't see anything in Crosby's game that he doesn't do well. He's the best. Period.

Crosby. He's the most complete player in the world. Ovechkin's defensive game takes him out of the running.

The only problem I have is the obvious double-standard that exists between him and Crosby. If Crosby jumped around after a goal like that, he'd be blasted for being a hot dog before he even got back to the bench.

John Tortorella and Rangers agree to terms on a contract, however, Tampa Bay has not signed off on this and the NHL is now involved. Rangers could face tampering charges.

Exactly, and none of them made much more than $3 or $4 million.

At least the Leafs got to the final four a couple times and always got through a round or two in the playoffs. And I'll disagree with saying that they handed out huge contracts. Save for CuJo and Mogilny, what other big name free agent did the Leafs sign during the Pat Quinn era?

Sens sacrificed defence to keep the big-3 up front. They lost Chara, Redden, Meszaros, Preissing, Corvo. That's a lot of puck-moving talent right there that they didn't replace.
